Both of my children have attended Sts Joachim and Ann from K-8. My daughter graduated in 2021 and my son is graduating this year. I was incredibly impressed with the school, the community, the rigorous but manageable curriculum, and the focus on service to others. I definitely recommend this school and encourage anyone looking for a school for their child to call for a tour!

The only thing I could say about the school is awful. The teachers are absolutely rude to the students. The eighth grade teacher is so hard to talk to. If you are a child. She will just shut you down at the moment you try to talk to her, she will interrupt you. Not the school is non-attentive to your children. They do not care about them is all I can say.Not the school is non-attentive to your children. They do not care about them is all I can say. The principal does nothing. She will sit in her office and do absolutely nothing. If you try to go to her she will disagree with you on every single thing. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. There is always discharge on the floor. The pre-K teacher the fifth grade teacher are the only good teachers at the school. Your child will not learn a lot and they will pile homework onto you. My son had so much homework. We went till 5:30 in the morning starting at 8 PM they give you so much homework. There was no project involved. Your kid will not learn good social skills at the school instead of all the kids sitting together at lunch they put the kids in tiny pods of 2 to 3 kids to where they will not get the right social accountability to talk to other students/peers. The teachers do not treat the kids like their kids. They treat them like they are adults/colleagues that do not listen to them. They are kids for God sakes. All I can say is do not send your children here they are not helpful. They are not attentive and they are rude to your children and rude to you. They do nothing as a school together.

There is no principal at the school. There is someone who sits in the principals office but she will do nothing for you. The fifth grade teacher is a bully. Felt uncomfortable with my child being in her class. It’s unfortunate because there are tons of great parents and kids and teachers as a whole at the school and the secretary is an absolute gem.

The teachers are a whole are effective and engaged with their students and parents. I felt the material/curriculum was relevant, and the right amount of challenge. However, there is a lot of "old blood" in this school. While keeping the culture is important, any new ideas are VERY difficult to implement. There is a small group of families who seemingly run the school behind the scenes, and the leadership bends to them, easily, and constantly. If you are not in the clique, you'll likely feel unheard, and unappreciated. Additionally, if your social values lean more conservative, this likely not the school for you.

We currently have 2 children attending J&A and our whole family loves this school! The teachers are so attentive and really care about my children learning well. I love the faith-filled and service-filled environment! The principal, Mrs. Schutz, is just wonderful and is doing a magnificent job leading the school; she's very personable! Words can't express how much this school means to our family!

We were blessed to be a part of the 1st JrK class and fell in love with the overall family environment. The school offers smaller class sizes where your child is never forgotten. The teachers, principal, church, are all top notch & have excellent communication. The school offers several extra circular activities, including scouts, choir, athletics, STEM, and much more. We are so blessed!

Both of my children started at Sts Joachim and Ann school when they were in Kindergarten. One is now in 2nd and the other in 6th grade. We love this school! The teachers truly care about each student and there is a growing STEM curriculum. There is a focus every day on making good choices, on faith. and on challenging yourself academically. I am proud to send my children there and would recommend this school to anyone looking for a place for their child(ren) to grow.

For 5 years it was great, but now with the new principal it is awful.

My son started at J&A in Kindergarten and is now in 1st grade. Even in that short amount of time, we can see how awesome this school is. Every teacher and employee there really does care about your child. The school is small enough to feel like family, but big enough to have lots of opportunities for your child to grow academically and spiritually. I love it that they truly are Catholic in identity and not just in name. We are thrilled to be a part of the J&A family.

We moved to the area in October 2016. The administration had the most organized plan of the schools we considered and generally seemed interested in our kids joining the student body. Both the teachers and administration have been very supportive since we joined to ensure the kids were on track with the curriculum, which was slightly different than the school we left. Our girls (6th grade and 3rd grade) have adjusted well and are happy with their new school...and so are we.

Sts. Joachim and Ann is a wonderful school with superb focus on Catholic identity. The entire staff, from maintenance to the pastor, excels in educating our children daily. The teachers we've experienced in our time here take great care to make sure our kids do their best, and then encourage them to do just a little bit better. There is a family like atmosphere presented effortlessly by the students and faculty, providing a peace of mind feeling for us. The Olweus Bullying Prevention program in place at J&A shows great success, especially with the younger grades that have used the program since kindergarten. We believe we are getting the best, most affordable, Catholic school education in the area.

The teachers a great here! They truly care about the children that they serve, though the leadership at the school is at times not the best. They cannot seem to control the bullying that happens even though they have around 25 students per class. I've seen many families move out of the parish and school simply because of the qualms with leadership. Though I do have to say, I did learn a lot there when I went and I feel as though it was beneficial to my education.
