Everyone is so nice but kids with special circumstances or learning difficulties there are only a handful of educators that understand or have the patience & experience to work with these students that need more help and understanding. The detentions are utilized way to often and especially with the new students or kids with special circumstances- there has to be a better way than detentions - so old school - I feel we can do better, more education on the mental well being of a child.

I go to this school and its a very great school.... great teachers and staff.... 2/3 of the principles are great.... the band teacher and choir teacher are the best they are very good at what they do and they know how to do there job...some of the staff aren't that great they need to know how to talk to students more and treat them better. but over all its a pretty good school with fun and great students.

Not sure what happened to make the poster from 1 March 2011 so bitter, but my students have had wonderful experiences at Bryan. We did not have a flawless experience, but problems were worked through and resolved reasonably with the teachers and administration. The administration uses a variety of ways to involve parents in the school. My experience is that the parents don't want to help out even when asked. Bryan even has a "2 hour Challenge" where parents are challenged to volunteer just 2 hours at school. 2 hours out of a whole school year and most don't do it. They offer Parent Involvement Team that meets once a month in the evening. They offer volunteer opportunities during the day such as helping during lunches or in the library. My kids have never experienced bullying at Bryan and the 1 fight i saw while volunteering at the school was handled respectfully and competently.

- Like most public schools now, push students through regardless of their education level - Treat students more like inmates that have no trust, even from the guidance "counselors" - Dont' get parents involved in anything - education, discipline, etc. - until way too late, making their involvement seem no more than a checklisted CYA step - Regarding discipline, counselors and principals known by student body to rely upon only he-said/she-said evidence and juvenile, baseless scare tactics, blatantly lying to students to coerce "confessions" ("Confess, we already know you did it")
