Mrs Morgan is a great kindergarten teacher. The PTO offers several opportunities to get involved. In general the staff and teachers seem to care about the students. My kiddo learned a lot in kindergarten. The classroom configurationIs a little weird (most classrooms don't have interior doors), but it seems to work ok. In general I like this school. They also are very accepting of LGBT+ families and kids ( mine is a boy that loves dresses) I was afraid staff would give him a hard time, but everyone seems to love and respect him.

I've had 2 of my children attend Sherwood for k-2 from 2017-present. We've had quality, communicative teachers every year and we've loved our experiences with Mr. Abenth as principal. One major plus at Sherwood is the availability of before and after-school care. I've been able to drop my children off to the breakfast program at 7:20 and enroll them in after-school care (for $7-8 a day) , which has helped this working parent so very much.

My son have been there for 2 years neither teacher did what they told us they would or wanted to do for are child. Call to talk to principle at 7 in morning get a return phone call after 5pm in evening their the for a check no regard for children or parents. Would not recommend this school.

I love Sherwood. They are bigger than the other elementary schools in the area, but the principal still learns every student's name. They have quality teachers. The office staff is so kind and helpful.

I have two kids one in kindergarten and o e in second. I love them both! They go out of their way to help the kids. Especially my son in second who needs a little extra help. I wish I knew before I enrolled them though that it only went to second grade! And a little upset theirs no kindergarten graduation!

We are new to the district this year. coming from freeland, this school has significantly failed at all my expectations, except one... My childs teacher is wonderful very warm, friendly, and accepting. The Cafeteria staff are RUDE & mean, and dont allow my child to finish lunch, even when she has expressed that she isnt finished yet, they make her throw it away. no wonder she comes home starving everyday! the principle is a joke. RUDE, and very unprofessional. I tried to have a conversation with the lady, and she laughs and jokes, as if i'm inconveniencing her by asking questions, that as a parent, i have the right to ask. The principle wouldn't listen to what i had to say at all, and kept saying "oh well.." to my concerns. I am very sad that this has been our experience, and sadly, i don't think either of my children will be attending this school next year because of it. the other issues i feel i should address is the parking lot, the drop off and pickup arrangement (its a mess!!) AND the fact that my 4 and 6 year old get up earlier for school that we do for work! that's crazy! school should not start at 7:30 am for preschoolers and first graders.... fix this.
