While there are some decent teachers here, half the teachers are either super rude and just assign tons of busy work and complete waste your time. They even have this ridiculous senior project that you only get a few months to work on supposedly which is just even more busy work and a waste of time since you don’t apply anything you’ve learned. Depending on what classes and who your teachers are, you might rarely learn anything here and it’s nearly impossible to get the classes you want. The counselors here are 50/50. Some actually care about you and your future and will listen to you but the others don’t. The security guards here are completely useless here and can’t even catch kids who sneak in and out, so I wouldn’t be surprised if someone who wanted to harm the school was able to get in. The school has way too much room for electives, nearly more than half of your schedule will be just electives in your junior and senior year, and as I said before, it’s incredibly difficult to get classes you want and you may be stuck in classes you don’t need or want to be in. If you care about your child, please don’t send them here.

Great teachers, average facilities, below average administration (at least while I was attending). In a bubble, this would be one of the finest schools out there. They seem to make the most out of the few resources they have and even though participation from the community is low there is a lot of pride surrounding Florin High.

My years of attending Florin was absolutely phenomenal, although I encountered many roadblocks along the way, I could say nevertheless it was the best time of my life that I had the privilege to be an honorable Panther at Florin. Once a Panther, Always a Panther!!!!

My school is diverse. There are no gang fights. Our students are always accepted into elite universities.

The teachers at Florin are fantastic. They do care about their students and try to make learning fun. It's a great atmosphere, with focus on great electives programs, high level classes, and art education. While there has been bad reputation about South Sacramento, this school maintains in a good academic standing.
