Hello, I am a student going here right now and I can say I dread waking up to come here. It's never ending endless loop the kids are racist and there is never fun. The students have zero regards about each other fights happen every week or month. The teachers here has zero regard about how there students feel. After coming back from spring break being very tired trying to get back into everything we were given a project due on friday. No time to settle back in. And because of that I stayed up and finished it. I sacrificed my sleep for a dam project. I hate this school I really do. I will be happy when I leave.

This school doesn't prioritize student's well-being, if someone reports a bullying situation the staff do very little to resolve it to the core. They'll send the student out with only a email home. This doesn't prevent future events, overall the teaching isn't bad but rather the environment, I can't count how many times I've heard racial slurs not only in the classroom but in the cafeteria and other places on campus. I'm not sure why the staff and administrators think the students would care if they lose at most 2 points out of 100 per behavior events. And the points can be made up with a single piece of paper and a short paragraph. There are fights occurring every month and the situations between students doesn't get better. Certain rules of the school can easily be argued against and has many flaws. To simply put, I'd say I hear at least 23 times a day someone being called a racial slur by different students. They are feral and there is no fun to be had here. (If you have a child that is any other race that isn't white I would not send them here.)Another extremely important note but the flag in the gym as of 2023 has ONLY 48 stars, I count them everyday to verify. Probably racist toward Alaskans and people from Hawaii.

I haven’t exactly had a bad time, but i know theres others who have. Only problem i’ve dealt with is not paying attention in some classes (math, sometimes science) and just being flippin’ ignored by my friends. Some classes are boring and they just don’t teach in a fun way.

This school is quite biased and rascit. There staff puts there hands on there students. They are unfair with punishments they racially profile students and hurt there students PHYSICALLY for just walking to class. They give students quite the put down by screaming and yelling at students. When they see a child of color talking normally they automatically come over and start yelling.

I went to this school and it's safe to say I am so happy to have left it. This school does not care about their students or parents enough to inform parents of ongoing events that happen such as lockdowns and school fights and will not give you direct information on the events you want to know about. They are negligent with your children in caring about mental and emotional health and do not care about what the parents or students complain need to be fixed or dealt with. The children that go there dread waking up because they do not want to be there and hate every minute of being yelled at by the adults working there for minor things such as spaghetti strapped shirts in over 90° weather and not trying on certain assignments for personal reasons. Please don't send your kids there.

The admin is very weak, they’ve let a minority of parents take control, dress code is sexist and they refuse to update it and there is a female VP known for harassing girls about what they’re wearing. She’s nasty about it and my daughter and her friends are scared of her. My daughter refuses to wear shorts or skirts because she’s afraid of getting yelled at by said VP. For a school sitting in an affluent neighborhood the academics are weak. Teachers are only mediocre. Very little fun and engaging activities to build community. If you can, I suggest sending your kids to Chilton instead.

The experience has been stressful. My smart athletic son has been picked on by staff for minor things which has caused a deduction of points. He is high energy so he learns a different way. They have labeled him as a behavior problem when all it is is nervous energy. Maybe you should get a counseler for the teachers. Everyone learns and behaves differently and they need to know that before labeling my child. You give F's like its no big deal. It is your job to follow up with the student. F's given by teachers in my book are unacceptable. My son has never had this much problems in elementary school. Looking to change schools next year.

This school’s teachers are great but administrators need to go and students need discipline.

I absolutely love this school for my daughter. She has excelled in so many areas, encouraged to reach new goals every single day, and challenged her to make her strive for excellence.

My son attended all of 6th grade, and is special needs. administration was horrible to work with. administration and staff labeled my kid as a bad kid and constantly treated him that way. all another student had to do was say my son did something and he got into trouble and written up by admin, no adult had to witness it. and if I tried to say that my son was the one being bullied, nope wouldnt listen to my son at all. they were also teaching him at too high a level based on his IEP

Silverado is a great school, but the students there are pretty mean. The teachers just talk to the students who get in trouble and a point deduction. If your going to make friends in this school, be friends with the people who have common interests. This school is great but most of the students are pretty mean.

I spoke with other parents about this school to see how they feel. I was told about bullying, no music programs, nothing special for the kids ie: enrichment programs. Some kids came from a loving school that encouraged the children to learn using positive words and pleasant environment. Other have described the children's environment as if they are doing time in prison...just numbers with faces waiting to get out or to get in trouble. I have read several reviews on this school that echo my sentiments. It's all about image. They don't care about knocking the students' self esteem into the ground as long as they don't have to deal with a problem head on. I am very disappointed with the mindset of the office staff. Sensitivity training is needed all the way up to the principal.

I think Silverado Middle School is not a very good school because it is not a good environment for my children to be around. I have had many problem from that school and don't consider it a high quality school for the satisfactory from my husband and that I know my children have good education with healthy surroundings. I would not reacommidate this school because of the inappropriate language, students, staff, and more so on s I could go for there.

The teaching staff is great for the most part. They are helpful and involved with student development. The administration is a whole other story. I have read several reviews on this school that echo my sentiments. It's all about image. They don't care about knocking the students' self esteem into the ground as long as they don't have to deal with a problem head on. I am very disappointed with the mindset of the office staff. Sensitivity training is apparently not part of new hire orientation. Sad....
