My son is enrolled in their Head Start program and it is the first time he has been enrolled in anything. (No daycare, or babysitters, etc.) As a firs time mom it was challenging in the beginning to let him go alone. The Head Start teacher Mr. Jaime and his TA Ms. Fanny were very kind and reassuring. Kept us updated and encouraged questions. If I addressed any concerns (consistent meanness from another child) they were on top of keeping watch to ensure nothing happened or to immediately stop the behavior. Every morning they do temperature checks and make it a point to speak with each parent and child. My son that did not want to go to school, now looks forward to it and I'm happy that the teachers are very aware and involved with the kids in their care. (I only gave 3 stars for special education, because I don't have any experience with that and it didn't have a NA option)

I made lots of excellent friends, met nice (some mean but do the job very well) teachers and had a overall fun, exciting, and educating time there where the next day is a new adventure. I was very sad when my parents decided to move.

This school is AWFUL! I feel so bad for the teachers. It is part of a terrible district as well. I agree with the other reviewer about the office staff being bad. Yes they can be nice, but they don't seem to care. The school could care less about informing parents, or even taking things seriously like enforcing parents to be involved! Kids are sent to school SO SICK. and teachers try to call parents, but if parents dont want o come, the office staff just sends them back to class. Kids are ALWAYS sick at this school. My kids have to be hospitalized TWICE because no one cares to make parents have consideration. I know other schools enforce rules regarding these types of things.
