I have a lot of kids and moved around the country, so I have a good comparison. Wyman does a great job.Dr. Ray knows all the kids' names. I had an issue with a teacher I couldn't resolve and he addressed it immediately and followed up by email and phone.The teachers are all great, including music, art, counselors. The school focuses on emotional control - controlling your anger, frustration, etc. which is a good life skill.Field trips, the Christmas store, assemblies are all well-managed and free. They have a friendship club for kids that struggle making friends. If I have a complaint, it is with their special services/IEP. This is probably a criticism of Missouri standards moreso than Wyman. My child was removed from speech and OT he had in two other states because he was "good enough". Add that to the limited availability of private services in Rolla, and kids on the line seem to fall in a crack.

We used to home school. Wayman's teachers, nursing, counselors, and principals have made the transition smooth for all of us. They respect and honor some of the "quirks" we have, which allows us to maintain our values and live by them.Their academic standards are without criticism!

We live a short walk from Mark Twain elementary, I got her enrolled late for kindergarten and on the first day I got a call that their were two many kids and she was being moved to Wyman. It's her 1st year of school she was so upset to change. And I couldn't believe with a close as we lived we were sent across town. But, after this 1st semester I'm so glad she was moved. She loves it and genuinely want to be there and her teachers love her and are just great. She behaves better there than home I'm just amazed at the progress she has made there that while this year the schools provide a bus to take the kids between schools I just go a short distance regularly to pick her up. I'm going to file a transfer request with Wyman to have her remain there for as long as we are in Rolla even though I will have to drive her everyday.

All three of my children attend Wyman. We have fallen in love with this school! The teachers are very dedicated and caring and our children are excited to go to school everyday! The PTO is very active and the teachers are very good at communicating with the parents. I will be sad when my children are too old to attend!
