The Teachers and Staff are focused on giving the children a safe and happy learning environment. The school building itself could use some work but the staff does their best to brighten up the 100 year old hallways with artwork and class work for the students and parents to enjoy. The teachers are always available to discuss the progress of your student and are very helpful with strategies to help your child in their pursuit of learning. Good citizenship and kindness to others is encouraged daily in this school. The new principal seems to really enjoy being there and my two children always talk about how they see him almost every day. I've stopped in a few times and he always seems to be available to parents and listens to what I have to say. There seems to be a lot of change going on at Roebling so hopefully the old reviews would apply anymore. Any issue I've had has been fixed quickly. There are definitely some tough kids but that's everywhere. My kids love the morning assembly and the Roebling Way.

My son has attended this school for 4 years and I couldn't wait for my daughter to start kindergarten! I have to say the new principal ( Mr. Peltzman) has transformed this school as one of the best I could ever want my child to attend! He is very supportive and understanding of personal situations and only wants the best for the students. He always has time to speak with parents and the students about anything. The teachers are some of the best trained and experienced I have seen! New grade assignments for some teachers have allowed them to show their true talents and opened new opportunities for the students! The support staff is kind and always helpful! Its a very family oriented school where you always feel welcomed and cared for!

Our family has had a wonderful experience in the Florence Public School District! We have 3 daughters in the school system and have always had outstanding teachers. Our children are involved in both the township sports teams and the school provided sports teams . The High School has a fantastic music program led by Ann Croley and Christian Reynolds, we have a marching band, a choir, an orchestra and a "house band" that plays all the back up music for the performing arts programs. There is a Spring Musical, a Fine Arts Night, and a Variety Show in both the High School and Middle School. The middle school students taking instrument lessons are invited to perform with the marching band at competitions, parades and other special events. The teachers, administrators, coaches and Board of Ed. members are accessible to the public because many of them are your friends and neighbors. Florence schools have a great small town atmosphere. The more involved you become the better your experience will be. There are many opportunities to get involved in your child's education.

Chaotic classrooms. My child had to deal with bullying issues and seemed to be surrounded by kids with behavior issues on a constant basis. School did little to nothing to address the issues. Very disappointed. Expected better.

I removed my son from this school after being frustrated year after year (from Kdg through 2nd) with constant bullying, which included having 2 winter coats stolen from him, being hit in school, on the playground & on the bus, lack of discipline for children who cannot keep their hands to themselves, and a serious lack of help academically for my child. The "no child left behind" act must not have applied to my son, because he definitely was being pushed on through, despite being very, very behind academically & despite my pleas year after year for him to receive some help. His awful school experience only turned around once I removed him from this school & had him repeat 2nd grade elsewhere, where he was FINALLY given the help he needed to thrive & succeed. Not impressed with this school at all & will not be utilizing it ever again for my younger children.

My son attended this school for four years, during which nothing ever changed. I had problems with him getting harassed by other children, getting hit, items stolen from him, and failure for the teacher (and bus driver) to do a thing. He would get punished for failure to speak out against his classmates that were causing problems. I would call the teacher and explains things only to have the same incidents occur repeatedly. I had an excellent elementary school experience, it's horrible that my son wasn't able to have the same. I opted to home school him rather than send him onto the middle school where the problems are significantly worse. Any other children I may have will be home schooled. I won't put another child through the same experience. I only wish I home schooled him from the start.

I love this school. My daughter goes to kindergarten in this school. Teachers are awesome she had learnt a lot in a month.
