This school SUCKS I was at this school from Pre-k to 6th grade and I didn’t learn ANYTHING when you get to middle school you are SO behind on everything there are only like 5 good teachers and staff in the WHOLE school, the bullying there is INSANE they call you racial slurs and get away with it and it’s so annoying, and the principal does not do a THING when you get bullied or hurt and blames it all on you like what happened to my friend and the school makes empty threats to the point you have nothing to be scared of. The teachers yell at you for no reason or just neglect you at that but they reward the “perfect students” and as a past one I can tell you it sucks you bullied even if you follow a bit of the rule and you just come to ignore it. There was a fight there almost EVERY SINGLE DAY at Golfview and you all get in trouble even if you weren’t there that day or you didn’t know it happened and it makes you so mad and you lose out on a lot of things. They also don’t do anything if your child gets hurt and they also give you a look for just asking and yeah would 100/10 NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL.

My girls have been at this school for a year now. We moved here because of Kennedy Middle for our other child and it is a decision I have regretted since. There is a lack of communications between teachers and parents. My children are being taught how to take the FCAT and Fair Assessment, not much else. After speaking numerous times with the teacher about the gap in my child's test scores for math and reading I am told it will be fine as long as she does well on standardized testing. I don't want my child learning how to take a test. I want her learning how to function in life. If you want your child to learn something pertanent to their future this is NOT the school for them. If you're alright with an educational plan that will teach your child how to take FL standardized testing, but have no further plans then this is the school for you. I would also add that they have not only put my children who have always been walkers in the daycare line AND bus line, they "forgot" to send my 9 year old to afterschool and she walked home alone to no one being here and then walked herself back to the school. Had I not taught her to find a trusted adult, this could have been catastrophic.

I have two children in this school. We are in our third year at Golfview and it has been the worst year. We were looking forward to the merger with Gardendale. It has proven to be a nightmare. When I walk the halls of the school. I see students running around like wild animals. My children like to eat breakfast at school. However after attending a few meals with them. I worry about there safety. The bullying I witnessed was ridiculous. The staff tried to address it but there seems to be little support from administration. I am under the impression we acquired the principal Gardendale, but the only time she seems to be visible is when the event makes her look good. I have seen her on campus a total of 15 times since the beginning of the year and I bring my children to school on a daily. In past years I would have said Golfview is a amazing school and I could guarantee your child's education was the most important thing. Now I say run if you value your child's education.

I am a parent from gardendale Elementary school. You must of heard by now that they are combinding the 2 school. I am so excited about this. The programs at GEMS is so wonderful and our staff is the finest. I know Golfview will become a school where children will grow in their education and their hearts. Please do not be so quick to judge. I am putting all my faith in this basket. Come give it a try you will be so happily surprised at what you are about to exspierance( I am not the best speller). The best is yet to be!

Dear Readers, DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE! On one occasion my child was bullied. The teachers yelled at her. The assistant principal blamed her. The staff, such as janitors are irresponsible and mistreated. The principal is sooo rude, she often disrespects teachers to their face (and my child has experienced this). The 90% of the kids are ill- mannered and rude. They are also not A student and the students who do get As are bullied. This school neeeeeds to be out of buisness and that is that! Giving my honest opinion, Anonymous

My children have attended this school for three years. And I'd have to say it fails in expectations. Trying to talk to the principal can be very frustrating. I feel as if she really doesn't care about what I have to say. Most of the teachers are very personable, like to keep parents informed and really care about how their students are fairing in class but seem to have a hard time controlling their classroom. Having walked into class during the day I find the atmosphere very different then what I have seen in our last two schools. Having recieved notice that this school is failing for the last few years I can understand with the level of control these teachers are unable to maintain with their students.
