I am very impressed with the quality of education at Deerfield. Staff is quick to respond to inquires or needs and they really care about your student. The Principal is incredibly engaged (he new all the new kindergarteners by name on the first day)! There are lots of activities and ways to get involved.

I have 2 students at Deerfield and we love it here! The teachers truly care about the students and go the extra mile to help them learn and develop. We have had teachers that have made huge impacts on their lives, and the boys will never forget them. They have had experiences in the classroom that they would have never gotten anywhere else.

This school provides children with a great foundation to learning that will promote higher level thinking and analysis throughout their middle and high school learning careers. I highly recommend the administration and teachers within the Avondale community to guide your child to success.

Going downward quickly. This school is riding on a reputation earned by the past principal and teaching staff. The current staff needs to step things up quickly.

We've been at Deerfield going on 4yrs. We have 2 daughters going into 1st and 3rd grade respectively. Deerfield is not our home school. But we live in district and chose to bring our children to Deerfield. We have been gifted amazing teachers thus far! I am there almost daily volunteering my time in classrooms and fundraising to enrich all students experience. We (my husband and I) volunteer as much as possible. It truly takes a village to pull off all the fun events! For example, the Fun Run, Fall Family Dance, Santa's Breakfast and the very fun and popular Dad's Carnival. We couldn't ask for a more inclusive school to entrust with our children's education. There is a reason that Deerfield is a twice awarded Blue Ribbon school! We love Deerfield and are looking forward to see the educational progress of our girls over their time there!

I have had 2 boys at Deerfield and now just 1. I don't have a bad thing to say about any of the wonderful staff. They are all very pleasant and helpful! We love Derrfield and wouldn't want to be anywhere else!

This is our 2nd year and the teachers and principle at Deerfield are just great! Very caring and concerned about my childs education. The homework is very manageable. We are very happy to be here!

I have two boys, one in kindergarten and the other in 2nd grade this year. We just transferred from Rochester School District (Long Meadow) this year. What a great school! The principle is very involved with the students and the teachers my children got this year are wonderful. They really seem to have good control of their classrooms and my boys truly enjoy going to school everyday.

Not sure what it means to be "rich" as a reviewer has stated, from our experience this is not a school mired in class warfare. It's quite the contrary. I see and experience GREAT parental and teacher participation from all facets, and that to me is the #1 reason this is a great school. We're all in to make this place the best it can be. Couldn't pay me to take the kids to the elementary schools a couple miles north or south of here.
