When my 2 children attended there I always appreciated what the principal, vice principal and teachers did. Always visible and caring, with a clear sight of how to properly run a school. I was fortunate to be able to volunteer often and was able to see how the staff interacted with the children. I looked forward to every special event the school hosted. It's a shame that the school is only rated as a 2. Since we moved, my children now attend a school rated as an 8 and there are so many issues with the school and how the children are taught. It truly makes me appreciate Riverside, I wish we could come back so my children could start enjoying school again.

My son has now been in the school 4 years, & has had a wonderful experience! Each teacher & faculty worker are soo nice & have a genuine interest in each child! I am still friendly with his past teachers & think the world of them!!! I encourage every parent to get involve & volunteer in the school; it not only keeps you informed, it's a benefit to your child!!

This will be the second year at riverside elementary and I must say we came from a private academy and the teachers and principal at riverside make the last look like a bunch of clowns. Mr Shumway is a wonderful leader.Every teacher and I mean every teacher is wonderful it's a good feeling when the kids love music,art gym and health wow ... I am so glad to have found a little home to buy we will be here until they are finished school. I really can't say enough from the office to every teacher. Well a couple lunch ladies could be nices but what the heck the kids drive them nuts.

I am an alumni of Riverside Elementary School and now I am excited to send my daughter there as well. She has completed one year, Pre-K3 and my daughter loved it. She loved the centers the best!!! Her teachers were exceptional also. You could tell she takes her job very seriously. The principal was exceptional also. When I had any kind of concern for my daughter he didn't hesitate to make sure I felt things were being taken care of.
