This school has been great for my daughter and she has made so many friends here. She has a 5.0 GPA right now and is taking a Honors classes and wants to take AP when she can. I highly recommend this school.

Some great teachers, however the school is very clique based. If you don’t fit into a clique you’ll be pretty much alone throughout your years here.

As a parent of a current sophomore, I give Holy Cross Prep the highest possible honors. My son prefers sports to academics but they have helped balance his motivation and put him on a course to be well prepared for college. He is surrounded by motivation, guidance in faith, discipline and his studies. The school is worth every dollar and then some. I completely understand the overwhelming loyalty of the alumni and current student body.

Not good ,money goes out for everything they will contact u by e mail on everything to raise money and donate. Coaches are great and dedicated to the kids and will help in everyway ,even tutoring them. Wrestling was the best a real family sport that will be the memories we will have.

I loved it. My mother went to Holy Cross and loved it too. I just wish the new people who r taking over would continue things lime alumni being able to see old teachers whenever they want. They have to many rules now and I cant even go visit my old teachers. it sucks. They need to fix this and bring old traditions back before they bring holy cross to the ground.

Terrible school experience. I atttended holy cross for all 4 years and I can tell you it was the worst 4 years of my life. Save the money and invest in a better education. Camden is better.

HC is succumbing to the same issues that closed the elementary schools: high tuition and fees, lack of support from the Diocese, declining facilities/enrollment, declining Catholic identity, high property taxes/cost of living in NJ, ineffective teachers, coaches and administrators (one who stole from the school) the priests scandals, competition from other schools, top heavy salaries, lack of air conditioning and too many fund raisers. A new school name and sign may not be enough.

A great school with experienced and caring teachers! Two of my children graduated from there and received numerous scholarship offers. My youngest is there now and is following in his siblings footsteps. Each day starts with a prayer. Catholic identity is an important part of the experience at Holy Cross!

If they tell you they have a "no tolerance" stance on bullying they're lying to you. They will not expel anyone. I think they'd rather keep the tuition coming in then expel a student who was caught red handed bullying and harrasing another student. You're child has better protection at the public school. Also, their academics are limited; very few AP courses. They promise the use of laptops and other technology but not all the teachers use the same system to assign/grade homework or don't use it at all so you're still stuck with lots of paper going back and forth. There are some really great teachers though. I'm sure if they had stronger leadership these issues wouldn't exist.

Very very poor education, wasn't always bad though. The last two years have just been awful though.

I was a srudent here in the mid 1990s, when this was an overpriced alternative to Lenape High School. The year I graduated, Lenape placed far more students in top colleges than HC. I am shocked at how many of the Faculty from the 90s are still around.

This is a midsize, excellent school. My son was academically successful and social kid until going to Lenape high school. As his parents we noticed that he lost his enthusiasm to school and realized that Lenape is not good for my son. My son hesitate to change his school at first. After talking with Admission director at Holly Cross we had a positive impression but a lot of what if in our mind. Admission director was great, transition of my son was smooth. Friendship was great. So many great teachers. Strong leadership of Principle. My son was able to catch up his academic success in many areas, made good friends. Furthermore, we are not christian we are an interfaith family, so we were not sure how to engage and be successful on all the religious classes. It was perfectly designed, my son enjoyed from the discussions, wonderful teachers. My son developped acceptance, understanding in religeous classes. He ended up top 1 in honor history class and had good amounth of scholarship. Now he is going in CUNY system for Political Sciences. It is a wonderful school, gave confidence, currage, faith to my son. Thank you Holy Cross

Mr. Guida (now principal) always has a smile on his face and is willing to help ALL students in anyway he possibly can. During my tenure at Holy Cross I passed the AP economics exam, the class he taught. My parents and I were ecstatic as this saved us thousands of dollars in college, how can you beat that? He is a wonderful teacher and I highly recommend him and the Holy Cross education. Currently I am employed full time in the economics field and a big thanks goes out to Mr. Guida!
