Outstanding Principal who is highly engaged with students and parent community. Teachers who go above and beyond for all learners.

Superb school that has almost everything a school could ask for. PTO provides almost anything that the school doesn't receive funding for in general. Every student has an iPad and the supports they need. School sits in the middle of a very affluent community that wants/needs for nothing. Not as diverse as it could be, but that's due to the cost of housing around the area.

This school is the best! Did you know that Michelle McNamara went there? She is such a good person and I know her and she LOVES THIS SCHOOL!! Such good teachers and motivation!

My two daughters received an excellent education at Lincoln. The teachers were smart, talented and engaged. We moved to River Forest for the schools and it was one of the best decisions we have made.

Lincoln seems to be a good place for many kids, with small classes and mostly competent teachers, but has been disappointing for us. There are no gifted services at Lincoln and the pull-out for reading and math in K through 4 at the maximum would average about an hour per week. Perhaps due to lack of gifted services there is a pervasive atmosphere of denial of giftedness and levels of giftedness. They claim "differentiation" in the classroom that in practice does not happen and ISATs are a very big deal here; formal preparation consumes a week and testing another week, but there is a lot of teaching to the format of the test. Generally I'd give it a "C" but most parents disagree and rate Lincoln higher.

Currently, I have two children who attend this school. I cannot say enough great things about Lincoln. The teachers obviously love what they do and it shows in the stuctured yet creative teaching style. They are amazing at looking at each student and finding what works for their individual learning style. I have one more child that will start Kindergarten there and he is already looking forward to his first day just from his interactions with his siblings teachers, and the principle.

We've been disappointed in the lack of leadership from the principal. She is more interested in keeping kids and teachers "happy" then in setting standards of excellence and it really shows in the lackluster ISAT scores the school has been delivering. Our fourth grader's teacher has sworn in class, is far behind the curriculum and is not well prepared. From K-4 we only had 2 good teachers, the others are phoning it in. I wish I felt better about the school
