This school is by far the worst school my child has attended. The majority of adults working there are more focused on their . personal lives and gossip than the needs of the students. The way some of those teacher aides talk to the disabled children is ridiculous and sickening. Whatever process they go through to get their job should be re-evaluated. There has got to be a better way for children to receive an education other than Richmond. Try another elementary school.

Has not been a great experience for us. We are looking forward to the new leadership and some new teachers. Some of the special ed. teachers are a joke. The general ed. teachers are, on the whole, not accepting of mainstreaming and too focused on what is best for the "normal" kids. One wonderful exception was a general ed. 3rd grade teacher who taught my daughter more in one year than she had learned in the previous 3 years. The school needs to focus more on mainstreaming in subjects a child is good at and making sure everyone has a chance to succeed.

Parents are not encouraged nor accepted much to volunteer. Little patent teacher communication. Have to sign in to walk your kid to class. Very much a no child left behind. My advanced son was just left coloring, I mean literally, while the rest of the class caught up in math. Unless you are in 4th or 5 th grade, your kid will get a minimal at best education. Worst school we have ever attended. Four teachers and only one was acceptable. I don't write reviews often but felt strongly about this one. Try Gateway or Pierce.

I have been very disappointed in this school. Principal seems very unorganized and seems "put out" when having to speak with parents in regards to children. Child used to love going to school and now dreads going to school. Cannot wait to transfer my child out.
