This school is horrible, unless you're a white kid who can afford to be there and won't make trouble. Even then, there's a good chance at having to deal with bullying.

I'm ok with the academics portion of the school, but sports are very lacking in opportunity and poorly organized to include students who want to be in a sport for the first time. Students who want to participate in an after school sport are pretty much at a loss if you have not been on the city league previously. There is a huge disconnect and disadvantage for those students who want to learn how to play and be part of a team for the school. There is no opportunity to be on a junior team where you learn the skills needed to progress to the varsity team. So the only students that make the school team for that year are the same students year after year because they keep getting the experience. It's very divisive and does not promote team building and instill confidence in our kids.

I agree completely with the last post. And the administration is happy to stand by, and wait for "something illegal" to occur. Absolutely no attempt is made at discipline for bullies. As long as they keep the kids in the school, the state will continue to fund them, regardless of the environment they are fostering. I thought a school on a military installation would set a higher standard of discipline. Teachers have no accountability for their own organization, and when parents come to the office for answers, the administration will refuse to listen. They form their own "wall of silence" and refuse to answer to the community for which they serve. I have learned on mulitple occasions that Murrays teachers have NEVER made a mistake. How silly of me to suggest that. This is the first California school I can honestly say the teachers are performing at the level that they are getting paid. LOW!

Academics may be fine but aggressive students wreak havoc at this school. Students are forced into either the role of bystander, bully or victim. Parents take great pride in student grades and test scores, but are woefully out of touch as to school environment.
