As a member of the Trevvett community for several years now, it saddens me to hear about another guidance counselor leaving the school. Over the past three years, we have seen four counselors depart, and we cannot help but be concerned about the reasons behind the trend. We hope that Trevvett remains a stable and supportive environment for all students and staff. This school has provided our family with wonderful memories and we hope that continues.

This has been a great learning environment for our kids. The staff here loves the students as their own and even during a pandemic we have always felt welcomed. Great communication from school and the office staff is wonderful. We love Ms. Tracy and know that we can call her for anything. You will love this school they make you feel like your part of a family.

We love this school! The teachers and administrators really care about the students and have gone above and beyond to help my children learn and thrive in this pandemic.

My daughter is in her 3rd year at this school and i love it. Each time ive encountered any issue. The principal has handled it effectively. She is wonderful and the teachers are also awesome. Homework is done everyday and due back on friday. I really love the student family events like the book n treat this year! So they have really done a great job!

This school is AWESOME! Our kids do not have much HW at all-our girls had a hard time with the spelling, but we worked through it. The principal is very nice. She returns calls and I always see her when I visit the school. I feel like she really cares about the school and has high expectations. Isn't that what parents want? It has a warm, happy feeling, but it is very structured. I like that the school performs just as high as the West End schools-no complaints from us! Definitely call and ask for a tour-you will LOVE Trevvett!

My daughter currently goes to this school and she is in 1st grade. This is her first year at Trevvett and I have to say that I love it! The school is great about hosting events for the students and families. They have a family honor roll that they stick to! I love the fact that I just feel welcome when I walk in. I can walk my daughter to class in the mornings to talk with her teacher. I can also email her teacher and she always gets back to me. I don't ever feel like I don't know what's going on at my daughter's school. Her teacher is great! She is so patient with the kids and you can tell she loves them! My daughter never says to me I don't want to go to school! She is always ready to go in the morning!

The new principal says one thing to your face and does another. She is all smiles but places unreasonable expectations on the teachers, which is why in 2015, after her first year, over a dozen teachers and staff either left or took early retirement because they couldn't deal with her. It is too bad all the focus is on making money and keeping their accreditation instead of genuinely caring about the needs of the children, parents and staff of the school. I am giving two stars because the teachers are great, even though they are run into the ground.

My son attends this school and when you started his K teacher was not kind to him at all. He has aniexty and even though his acedemics were above average the teacher choose to pick on him, which I witness and made his aniexty get worse. He was pulling out his hair and eyebrows. The principal at the time choose to defend her teacher. Currently he has a teacher who is more understanding and he continues to be on honor roll and do well his aniexty is much better but there is still a fight to get him into a gifted class. The current principal is not genuine at all and has not shown herself to be a person who cares. The curriculum tries to be challenging but it's not original and does not allow children to socialize or be creative but they are there to work and keep the school's accreditation

As I Grandmother of 2 in this school, I urge you to please think twice before renting or buying if you children have a 504 or IEP and will be attending this school. During an IEP meeting for one of my grandkids I asked the Speech teacher to review previous mods before we sign off on any changes. She proceeded to roll her eyes ,huff, and shake her head at me. When I said that was uncalled for and unprofessional ,the principal snapped THIS MEETING IS OVER!! During the meeting the principal ignored our concerns, double talked and talked in circles to try and confuse us,to no avail. When my grandchilds teacher tried to step in and explain our concerns ,the principal quickley shut him down and was very rude to him to. They are NOT following the IEP in place, and have a very unprofessional principal and speech teacher. I have delt with numerous henrico county schools, this one is by far our worst experience.

Maude Trevvett is an excellent school with excellent teachers and office staff! The principal there really makes every effort to make the school a place the students want to be. As a parent, I thoroughly enjoyed all of the assemblies based around celebrating the children academically. This school is amazing and has a wonderful upbeat feeling. The teachers are very easy to talk to and willing to listen to (and address) any concerns you have for your student.
