Terrible regarding issues with our one special needs son! He ended up hospitalized due to negligence and we did not even get an apology from the principal!!!

Is this a top notch elementary school? No. If I wanted an elementary school with the best test scores and the best extra curricular activities, I'd live in Short Pump. The charm about Lakeside is that it provides an incredibly diverse student population with teachers that adore their students. My daughter has been going to this school since Pre-K and she's (In my opinion) a pretty smart kid. She consistently reads above her grade level, picks up math fairly quickly, and loves her art, music, and gym classes. There will be bad eggs at every school, there is no way to avoid that, it's just a matter of how much wool is pulled over everyone's eyes. I love Lakeside Elementary. It provides a quaint, quality education for a relatively low-mid income neighborhood.

In spite or because of the high amount of diversity, Lakeside provides a great education to all.
