Wonderful because my children were 3 years in a row in this school and because of the change of direction I had to remove them, it made me very sad because it is an excellent school, the teachers, the staff, the director, they are all very kind people, they helped me a lot. I am very grateful Because of my youngest son's teacher, he arrived not talking much, he had speech problems, he was very shy and they helped him a lot. Thank you. They are wonderful. Keep working as usual.

I have read the reviews from the past and can assure you that things are different now. I have one very difficult child and the school woks hard to not only educate her, but meet her socio-emotional needs that impact learning. I can't say enough about her teacher, support staff, the proactive versus reactive communication, and all of the energy that they invest in my baby's future. They see who she is versus what she does and they push her academically, in spite of her functional challenges. My other child feels supported, nurtured, welcomed, and challenged in her classroom. I couldn't ask for more. I didn't have to go to the West End to find a better school. The challenged school in my community is overcoming it's own history and is making a difference in the lives of children now. I, for one, am grateful to the Ram Family!

I have a son with special needs. This school is NOT equipped to care for children with special needs. They hardly use his speech device outside of "speech therapy", and they don't send him to the bathroom often enough. Twice in six hours??? Then have the audacity to send him home in back up clothes because "they didn't understand why he wet himself in six hours". Teachers barely communicate; I can write a hundred notes in a year, and only have 25 of them responded to. I've walked up on teachers yelling at children, and speaking to them as if they're adults. This school isn't accredited. In 2017, this makes ZERO sense. The staff is too laid back. I see a lot of socializing, and not enough teaching and leadership. I am 33 years old, and the schools I attended smoke H.M.R.E.S. I wish I could take my child out of this poorly-run school. It's sad. Avoid it if you can.

Adminstation is awful at Ratcliffe Elementary. Lack of supervision and lack of communication to parents in regards to the child is terrible and unacceptable. My children will not be attending this school next year. I am embarrassed to say that my child is a Ram!

Trusting my kids less and less in the hands of this school. Seems like there is not enough supervision and disciplinary measures are not taken seriously.

Sad to see this school take a dive over the past 4-5 years. Good teachers, who care. Just bad infrastructure. Seems like administration lacks the expertise or motivation to run things how they used to be run. It's a shame cause students are suffering.

Ratcliffe used to be a great school. Unfortunately leadership changed several years ago and as a result test scores have fallen off the map and good teachers are fleeing. Really disappointed and concerned for the school and community. HCPS needs to intervene.
