Both of my kids attended Trexler Middle and had a great experience. The teachers are great and engage in lessons. They want to help the students succeed. There are several after school clubs students can join and a great athletics program. I love that there's good, open communication with all staff with parents.

Trexler is a Horrible school and I know first hand.Homework: Homework at Trexler for most students is as simple as doing unfinished classwork, but the problem is that if *Teachers* give students more work than they can handle and expect it to be done by the end of the week and it makes it worse if they keep giving more and more work.Teachers: Some Teachers at this school are actually good at doing their job, they help the students over and over on the things they don't understand untill they get it but that's not the case, most teachers will give us notes and flip through PowerPoints and make us take notes than complete assignments for the rest of the week with minimal help. don't get me started with discipline, if a student gets in trouble they don't even get to explain themselves and for the ones that are innocent they still get in trouble even when they are proven innocent.and the phone rule states that any student with a phone on them can receive ISS(in school suspension) untill there parent picks up there phone which can't happen often for students who's parents both have jobs and work late.but all day I see teachers on there phone saying they are doing something important, but their either on games or talking to their friends about stuff.Leadership: What leadership there is none this school doesn't understand leadership, they can't experience leadership when they never get the chance to.Character: none, students are punished for being themselves, the teachers blame students for talking back to them when there just trying to explain what there in trouble about. Teachers separate students from their friends that they get distracted with instead of trying to take the initiative and try to work it out.Learning difference's: the school with separate kids with them and make them do way easier work than trying to help the kids with what there learning and with the ones who don't get separated are just followed by a random staff member that is just on their phone all the time.and for are advanced classes it's just more work only one avid class has actual character development, leadership building and skilles that are actually nurtured but all they do is go on feild trips to a camp.Bullying: it has never came to my attention to see actual bulling but more of some students not liking others because they were different, unpopular, or ugly, or not of same sexuality.Conclusion: if you want a good learning environment for your kids try a new school.

They spend more time punishing students for ridiculous reasons then actually trying to teach them. They don't care about students especially military children and families.

My son transferred from a school near the Raleigh area, which he never had any issues, however when he started at TMS we had nothing but problems. I was getting calls constantly regarding my child's behavior, and at first I thought it was because of the transition and he was having a hard time adjusting, however as we got into the middle of the year things didn't improve. I found out that my child was being bullied and that was the reason for his behavior. When I brought this to the attention of his teacher, I was told to go on the website and fill out the bully report form, which I did, but I wanted them to do their part as well. During a conference I was told by his teacher that the kids target him. I can't understand why the same kids continue to get away with bullying when the administration knew what was going on. We have always taught our children to defend themselves, which is what he did when he was being bullied, and he was the one that was suspended because the other kid lied about what happened. Even after the child admitted that he started the fight, he got nothing, while mine was suspended for 2 days. TMS refuses to believe that they not only have a bullying problem, but they have a drug problem as well. My son experienced the bullying problem and I was told by a staff member about the drug problem. You would think if they know about theses issues but they would rather sweep it under the rug rather than handle the issue. TMS staff have their favorites, and if your child isn't one you need to beware. It is very sad that all children are not treated equal, but I hope that by sharing our experience other people will be aware of what goes on at this school and if they have an opportunity to enroll their child in another school take it.

Our son attended the 6th and 7th grade at Trexler and it was wonderful. The staff at this school is very caring and always available for the parents. We are a military family and felt welcome. Trexler is a very safe school and I would highly recommend it.
