  Learning: Subjects are well thought out and the curriculum is immersive. They offer uncommon secondary classes, but they do not provide much help with previous subjects. You are expected to remember everything from a previous year.Teaching: Teachers have unique teaching styles, able to be adjusted. Teachers are kind and helpful and are concerned the well-being of students.S-E support: Students are required to go through a weekly 15-minute class on emotions. Often this is redundant, as it is a very non-advanced class. Counselers are not active, but are there.Special Edu.: Most SE children are sent to a different classroom, but are mixed with others. They have a good team to help children along.Safety: Teachers approach safety well, with drills and following alerts. The building has an alarm system and numerous locks inside and out.Fam. Eng.: The PTA is very welcoming and often host events where students and parents can come to eat and have a good time for free. While the school nails those, the more you stay at the school, the more cons are apparent. The building has 5 floors, with 6th graders taking the 4th, 7th/8th taking the 5th, and elementary students packed into the lower floors. With the gymnasium and cafeteria on the lower floors, students will have to travel up and down if in middle school at least 4 times, and since teachers hand out so many books and students need so many supplies (in my experience backpacks can weigh 5-20 lbs.), the walks can be exhausting.Elementary students can consider the Bloomington campus which is usually the superior one in most aspects. Middle schoolers can expect tiring walks, but nice teachers, and consistant homework for classes.Breakfast and lunch are not free, and of low quality. They are costly (more so than other schools who offer better lunches for lower costs). The school generally begs for money, with students being forced to run laps in a fundraiser. Students are required to buy and wear uniforms, with exceptions by paying $5 on some Fridays. Bullying is generally not a problem, but staff do not often detect it. Response is quick, however, and when alerted is guaranteed.If you have a special child, he/she/them will be treated well, as the school is very inclusive. SE children get a good education, but more advanced children only have math/reading that is sped up in their grade (elementary) and only math for middle schoolers.
