Stinson School has experienced a significant decline in standards, requiring a constant police presence. The staff are struggling to maintain control, and many have left due to the challenging environment. The school is no longer a safe place for children, with numerous police cases filed. You can verify this information independently. Please consider this before deciding to send your child to Stinson. The Stinson PTA has been ineffective and is at the root of many of these issues.

I heard stories that 13 years ago Stinson was great school. Thus I decided to buy house in this area. But Stinson is not same anymore, great and compassionate teachers are gone. Current teachers are not experience enough and doesn't know how to do. They are also overwhelming with special need kids, not enough staff to take care. Bullying become normal, only if you are active in PTA or schools then you can get your voices heard and special treatment, if not the victims are the fault. Front Office staff needs to have training or at least be polite.

Had 2 boys go through Stinson, last one finished in 2021. Excellent experience with both students. When one of our sons needed extra help students in accommodated and helped him excel. The other one being a daydreamer teachers brought it to our attention and work on strategies to keep him on task. Both boys graduated with A's did well in middle school and beyond. It's a great School but good education starts with the family.

If you want your child to come back home with bad words and inappropriate sentences and sounds, have tones of unfinished class work , watch movies in art class and music class ( not even Educational movies) and being bullied, send them to Stinson Elementary.Teachers should have plans and ideas to deal with outgoing kids who likes to move and talk and keep them busy , kids can't be like a status all day and not every active child have focus problems and ADHD issues. I transferred my kids to this school and had high expectations but I was chocked.Principle needs to be more serious and pull the school and staff into the bright and success bank.

Average at best. Kids must completely fit the mold here to feel supported.

Absolutely terrible. If I could go back in time and move to a house not in Stinson's boundaries, I would do so in a heartbeat. The damage done to my child and our family has been insurmountable. The only bright spot in our time here has been one teacher who was kind and loving and nurturing. ONE. If you can avoid sending your child to this school, I would highly advise you do so.

Over all, I continue to marvel at the parental involvement. But do not get on the wrong side of connected volunteers who tend to be clickish. If your child excels at anything, it will be noticed. If a parent volunteers they will be appreciated and rewarded indirectly by their children getting small favors that boost their self esteem. Quite a few wonderful children attend this school. Honestly it seems to have very few trouble makers or students incapable of learning. Teachers like Mr. George, are beloved by children and parents alike. What science teacher that you know of has a 20 foot model of the solar system handcrafted inside their classroom? Some folks may not be aware that this school resembles the United Nations. However diversity and self reliance make for students more aware and accepting of globalization. The teachers are not miracle workers but neither are most parents. This education is surprisingly impressive for those parents who get involved. If you have no interest in helping this community, I suggest you look elsewhere.

My son is currently in 3rd grade and we started at Stinson after the holiday break in 1st grade. Everyone was very warm and inviting and right away my son felt like he fit in. All of the teachers have been great with my son and have all communicated very will with me. I have yet to meet a staff member who is not warm and inviting. I feel they all enjoy being educators and have the kids best interest at heart.

Stinson has a very strong drive for excellence and continual improvement. The students feel this drive strongly, and it motivates them to do their best.

We moved to this neighborhood because of Stinson Elementary's high academic ratings. Never has it failed to meet our expectations. My husband & I work in higher education, and feel we have high expectations for our children's education. We also equally care about their social well being. The principle, VP, counselor, & teachers show such care for our children, but also challenge them to think, work hard, & grow in responsibility. There is a culture of high volunteerism by parents within the school which helps unite us as a community. The school's diversity gives my kids a beautiful global perspective. The PTA if full of people who work hard to provide incredible programs & opportunities for our children. We feel blessed to be a part of this school & community, and highly recommend it to others..

I highly recommend this school! Our son started kindergarten and the very end of the school year, and the school really went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and to ensure that our son felt safe. The office staff is wonderful and friendly, and the two teachers we have had so far are both approachable, professional, knowledgeable and warm. This is a wonderful school!

Awesome in every way. We moved here two years ago from Frisco and it is amazing how our children blossomed here. One of the best schools in DFW area.

I am the shortest kindergarten teacher that worked here from 2008-2011. I miss my K team and wish to come back to join them someday. I wish to thank the parent who posted a compliment posted on April 9 (my birthday) about Kindergarten in 2007. I love Writer's Workshop too! =)
