Both my twins went to this school and we found it excellent. I have no idea why this is rated 4/10 - it is really 10/10! The teachers are fantastic, the principal is great and the PTA is very engaged. We can not rate this school highly enough.

This website is awful at rating schools in this area - so many like Armstrong look low in the ratings mainly because it has a population that has English as a second language and/or has some poverty. In addition, the school is an Austism center, making the statistics for the school look awful. In reality, I couldn't think of a better school for my child to be at. Every year the teacher is as good or better than the previous. There is an active PTA with a bunch of afterschool classes your child can join.

We have had an incredible experience at Armstrong. It's unfortunate that the ratings don't reflect the absolute best that it is - this unfortunately prompts skepticism and hesitation by those new to the community. The leadership, teachers, staff, and environment are all superb. I can't imagine a better school community for our kids in Northern Virginia.

My son is enjoying his Kindergarten experience at Armstrong. The teachers really encourage parents to volunteer for the many different lessons, such as art and math. The after school programs available are great! He has learned so much this year and has made a lot of new friends.

Great school, my child attended from 3-5th grade (2008-2010) and loved going to school. The school has a no bullying policy which they take very seriously and makes for a good atmosphere for the kids.

Armstrong elementary school is an excellent school. I believe its excellence is due mostly in part to the teaching staff. The principal appeared great untill a conflict arises. Hopefully a new principal with experience will be in place soon.
