Billinghurst has gone so down hill since Ms. CUTLER has taken over. Bullying is out of control! There are so many fights there daily. Teachers are not teaching, they are telling kids just to look up answers on Google. Teachers are even Bullying kids. I took my concern to Ms. CUTLER and she looked at my daughter in disbelief and did NOTHING!! My daughter who was a straight A student and never in trouble, was being sexually harassed by a large group of students and nothing at all was done. BillingHurst is a joke now with Ms. Cutler. She couldn't even control 8th grade graduation. If you have a choice go to another school until she is gone!

2 of 2Since when is choir practice more important than nutrition? Last Tuesday was the 4th time Tanner has gone without being able to eat his lunch. Everyone is sensitive to those with peanut allergies of which I do understand however, my son suffers in this case because peanut better is the only protein he eats. So what about accommodating him?why is it that a teacher can sit in her class and eat Doritos at 9:00 in the morning in front of the kids however, the kids {even though they are hungry too} can only eat at a certain time?Since when does having to use the bathroom lower your GPA?When a child suddenly has to make a bowel movement but can't because his teachers tells him that he will receive an infraction?...so he has to sit there for an hour until school lets out??? I guarantee you if that teacher had to use the bathroom she would not have stood there for an hour holding it. These are simple living functions, functions that we do to survive as people...eating and using the bathroom that for some reason are unable to be met at this school.

This is an email I sent to Billinghurst middle school this morning...you can get the gist of my opinion about this school, the kids, the teachers and the admin by reading my letter...Part 1 of 2 because I am only allowed 2500 characters Hi there...I appreciate your willingness to set up a meeting with an admin and Tanner's core teachers however, I think that waiting until January 21 is a bit late. What do we do meanwhile?Meanwhile, if things continue the way they are, Tanner will learn nothing because his whole focus right now is on all the other negative things that happen on a daily basis at school.Tanner's social life at Billinghurst unfortunately is pretty much all negative.He needs to be able to have a social environment however, it needs to be a positive one.I hate to say this but what I perceived in our conversation this morning is that when I approach you with examples of things that are going on...rather than to look into the problem and see how the issue can be fixed...you diminish the problem with excuses for the teachers.

This school is terrible. The staff have zero control over the children that they teach. Bullies are everywhere they allow children to smoke on the bus. I have seen zero respect shown from the children towards the staff. The teachers will not give the time of day to discuss anything with the parents. Please someone step in and take control of this school. As a very concerned parent do not send your kids to this school.

The school claims to have a a zero tolerance for bullies, but that's a joke. Of your family has money, they won't do anything to upset the "income stream". They reinforce the socioeconomic gap by favoring students with parents that donate. There are also several teachers who are bullies as well. The level of disrespect that they speak to the kids is staggering. One child was even told to "sit down and shut up and stop acting so smart" when the student pointed out the timeline they had written on the board was 10 years off. Another teacher thought it was funny to tease a kid all year about people taking the students stuff but did nothing to stop it. There are fights almost every day now and the atmosphere has become one of duck and cover versus learning. This school has allowed the elitest mentality to run rampant.

My daughter just started this year there. She LOVES it! The office gals and Principal are amazing! Great school, glad my daughter is there!

I'm going into my 2nd year here, and it's amazing! Teacher's care about you, and they always want to help. Teams become families and they bring you closer! Go BOSS!!

My son goes to school here adn it seems great the teachers and staff. My son has learning issues and grade issues and they do help. I was a little concern the first day a older child kept runniong into him and never said "Excuse me", I told my son maybe it was an accident. Staff is great though for sure.
