After having our son at 2 other schools in Reno, we have found our school home at The King’s Academy. This is his 3rd year there, and we grow to appreciate it more and more each year! The amazing teachers there helped him get back up to grade level work in Math, and for the first time ever, we heard him say, “math is fun!” Moreover, the school’s Bible-based approach to shepherding students when there are disciplinary issues shows the love of Jesus to students to guide and lovingly correct them instead of shaming them when they make mistakes. We can truly say the school takes a partnership approach with families in each student’s education, and we know without a doubt that the teachers and staff love and are praying for our kiddo. The curriculum also takes a biblical approach, particularly with Science and History, helping students understand things like how God’s design for creation has order, logic, and purpose. The school stands out as an overtly Christian education program and community, teaching and preparing students for their futures with rigorous academics and positive study habits, while also helping them grow spiritually in their relationship with Christ. We have not found any other school like TKA and are so excited for our daughter to start kindergarten there next year, too!

The King's Academy is an absolute treasure! We are so incredibly thankful to be sending our son (and in a couple of years our daughter as well) to this school! We did a lot of research before deciding where to begin kindergarten, and toured several schools, hoping to find one that stood out above the rest. The King's Academy is it. I can't imagine a better place for an excellent Christian education in the Reno/Sparks area. The staff are wonderful. The teachers are so amazing, experienced, loving, compassionate, and we really can feel how much they truly care for our son. He is having the most wonderful experience. I can honestly say that since my son began attending The King's Academy, he has come into his own genuine, authentic faith. He loves God, he knows God better, he asks so many great questions. Best of all, he tells me all the time now "I love you so much Mom, but I love God more." It is such a comforting feeling to have the utmost confidence in both the quality of the academics, as well as the spiritual environment of the school. We love the smaller class sizes and greater level of attention that the teachers are able to pay to each student, and therefore their enhanced ability to tailor the education to each child's unique needs. I attend chapel every week (parents and families are always welcome to join the students there) and absolutely love it! I love seeing the children having a great time and also receiving such quality, Christ-centered Biblical teaching. It's wonderful. There have been so many times that, unprompted, my son will ask me "Mom, can I please keep going to King's Academy all the way to 8th grade? I love it there!" What more could you want to hear from your child? We cannot recommend The King's Academy enough, it is one of the best decisions we've ever made for our children.

Our son is attending kindergarten at The King’s Academy. He loves it so much, and is very excited everyday going to school. Teachers are awesome and very helpful. Management is very good with communication. We recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a Christian school in the northwest Reno.

We love TKA. The teachers really make a difference. Ms.Christy is an exceptional kindergarten teacher who makes learning so much fun for her students. Ms.Jill is such a kind and compassionate teacher. Our son went home sick on a Friday and on Saturday she sent me a message checking on him to see how he was feeling. This school excels on going above and beyond with caring for their students. If you want your child to feel seen and heard, this is absolutely the school they should attend.

We LOVE this school! My kids couldn't wait for school to start up again in August. It's family, not just school. The kids love each other and show each other complete respect. Both of my kids are doing really well with the curriculum, we see fantastic results with their grades and enthusiasm to learn and grow.

This a great school where kids are nurtured in a loving safe environment. I have been happy with the level of education and the curriculum they use. Principle Miller is an amazing leader.

What a fantastic school. My children have learned reading, writing, arithmetic , cursive, kindness, problem solving, responsibility, Spanish, art, computers, respect for all and love gor one another. This school is the best in Reno with great teachers and a great principal. Small classes, high standards and enthusiastic helpful students. The best part? No Common Core!

This is a great school! They offer a top notch education at a great value. Class sizes are small so that the teacher really gets to know each student. I like that they do not teach core curriculum. Instead they use Abeka curriculum which is advanced and the students receive a very high quality education. The teachers offer free tutoring if needed. The principal and teachers are really dedicated and loving. There isn't any discipline problems and the children are taught morals. I also like that the children wear uniforms.I am so happy that both of my children attend this school.

Four and a half stars rounded up! My two youngest came to this wonderful school after a brief stint of homeschooling and I have been delighted with the principle and teachers and the chapel service has recently become excellent. Praise God for this alternative :) Brian 1/6/2014

Wonderful school and I strongly disagree with one post. The principal is excellent. My children are learning very well and have a softer heart towards God because of these precious ladies. Keep it up!

As many other parents we applied for a different schools in hope we will find one that fit perfectly our kid. One of this schools was King's Academy. Due to some circumstances (I lost my job) we didn't placed our child in this school. But we got a non-refundable fee returned as soon I explained my situation to them. p.s. can't tell anything abut teachers.

Our son has gone here from Kindergarten into fifth grade. He is advanced for his age, and the school accommodates that very well. He finds the social atmosphere supportive, and there is a positive attitude. We do not attend the sponsoring church but feel no issues with that.

This is Reno's best kept education secret! What a great school. The standards are very high but the teachers help the children acheive the highest expecations. All the kids read well above grade level and are challenged every day. They are also taught about the importance of being a loving, caring, and giving person and that they are not the cneter of the world. Public school would most likely condifer the curriculm of Kindgs Academy as that of gifted and talented. It is a joyful place!
