Wonderful opportunity for self driven students. The students are open minded, diverse and generally academically driven.

Very high teacher turn over. Curriculum is not challenging.Special Ed support completely misses the target; the school is ill-equipped to handle the most basic IEP.Undercurrent of negativity from staff/admin if your student toes the line.

As a parent I love d.tech as it has considered what a teenager needs (like sleep) and adjust the learning experience to be best for the student (like a later start to the day, and no assigned homework). students are happy at d.tech as they have some flexibility and a healthy educational environment in which to thrive.

It is totally different from traditional high schools. The education is extremely personalized to the student. They are encouraged to have a passion projects and be creative and thinking on what they would like to do. They are able to take college courses if they are advanced. They do internships and classes at different companies. There is a strong emphasis on empathy and caring about each individual student which makes it a great environment for all students. Could not be happier. It may not be the school for the student who likes traditional high schools with the big football team etc...or the student who is not self directed.

I love this school, we get so much creative freedom and the teachers truly care about helping us learn, not just pass tests.The school is also super focused on innovation so we even get to chose how we spend our time on Thursdays, we can catch up on work with a specific teacher, work on extension assignments, participate in classes such as like film making or art, make a prototype in the workshop, or even clock in fitness hours! The quality of life we get in this school is amazing and all of the staff are super receptive to our ideas and are always looking for ways to improve on anything and everything.
