We have two children with ADHD at Columbia and we've been very happy with the school. Almost all of the staff know all the children by name and are very friendly and kind. They put a great emphasis on social-emotional learning. My children have used services from speech therapy, the counselor, and the learning center and have not only improved greatly but have really enjoyed it. I appreciate the security improvements made to the campus this year. They also do so many fun activities from Halloween carnival to a Christmas Bazar, plays, field trips, dances, ect. They always have something fun to look forward to!

Our children have been attending this school since 2020. We did a lot of research in choosing a school for our kids and chose Columbia. Among the reasons is the amount of time the teachers have been there, which is a great sign. Our personal experience has been amazing, the staff is open and communicative. Our children love the school and our excelling in class, we couldn’t be happier.

School was great when current Superintendent Clay Ross was principal and Super. Since Courtney Pratt has assumed role of principal, the school has gone downhill. She deliberately disobeyed parents request for disciplinary action. She interferes with parental involvement at the school and disregards any parental discussion regarding the students teachers. If you are looking for a school to give your child the best, healthiest environment to encourage and empower them while also instigating parental involvement and working together, THIS IS NOT THE SCHOOL. As a matter of fact, it is the exact opposite. It’s a shame because they have some excellent teachers (Christine Dooley, Suzie Sactena, the list goes on), however, unity and success at quickly derailed at the hands of Courtney Pratt and the insufficient staff in which she fiercely protects over your students success.

I've been thoroughly impressed with this school and it's teachers. Both of my children love this school and every teacher they have had thus far. I would strongly recommend it to any parent looking for a quality education.

Clay Ross is NOT who you want teaching your children. This school is lacking diversity

My Daughter Justice went to a failing grade to an avererage 92-100% on her spelling and sentences tests. Also went from a kindergarden reading level to a second grade reading level in the fist grade this year, she as amazingly improved in other aspects as well. I am very pleased with columbia school. My daughter loves her teacher Mrs. Wilson. One day Justice was having homework troubles,so we called her teacher at home.Mrs. wilson did her homework with her that night over the phone. Thats a good teacher.

Principal, teachers, and office staff are very friendly and open for discussion about each individual child's needs. We have two children in special needs classes and the support they receive is AWESOME! We moved here from another school district where our kids only got the minimum of what they needed. At Columbia, they listened, we learned from eachother about our children and we work together for them to achieve their best results. The kids love their teachers and aids. I highly recommend this school in this area.
