    Barrows was a great experience for both of my children. My son has ADHD and they did a wonderful job of helping him through all of his challenges. The teachers were just wonderful!

    We have had a wonderful experience at Barrows! The teachers are patient, skilled, creative and adaptable. Librarians are great! Administration has been approachable and responsive. Active PTO. There are many ways to become involved in the school (and community) as a parent. Family needs are addressed and met-easy to navigate after-school program. We feel lucky to be a part of this school!

    This is the quintessential neighborhood elementary school where everyone wants to further our children for the better. A very active parent community too.

    The school does not challenge children who perform above grade. There is no leveling and even after talking to my child's 5th grade teachers about challenging her, and being assured they'd work with her, nothing happened. It is very hard to move into a school system that does not level from one that does. Essentially, my daughter repeated 5th grade. Also, the old Principal did not care. I hear the new one this year is much, much better.
