This school is completely non responsive. Will not follow up with you or give you any response to what they’re going to do to advocate and protect your child when they’re being bullied.. It is impossible to get a meeting with the principal even after leaving multiple emails and voicemails. No matter who you talk to you get pushed and shoved down the line like your voice and Child does not matter, even upon trying to leave the school. Their contact with other schools is basically nonexistent. They will not contact or follow up with the other school that you’re trying to transfer your child to. Do not send a child to the school if you want them to feel safe and advocated for in a good learning environment.. To meet with the principal you must go in and demand a meeting now. However, don’t believe this helps because all the principal does is write stuff down on a sheet of paper and lie to your face while taking no action on the problems at hand.

If your child has any type of learning disability like ADHD or Dyslexia like my daughter do not send them to this school. I highly doubt if any of her accommodations are being met in any classroom. They make policies that exclude kids from school wide functions. Doing so send two messages to the students, one the students that are excluded aren’t good enough or smart enough to be excluded and the other it’s okay to exclude those kids. Not a good situation for a child’s mental health. My daughter comes home almost every either crying or extremely discouraged. She hates this school and this coming from the same child hating school breaks because she loved school and learning. The office staff can’t seem to deliver a simple message or a lunchbox. The principal doesn’t care at all he has all the accomplishments but he’s just filling a seat. He doesn’t care nor will he do anything if a situation is brought to his attention. Do not send your child here if you care about their mental health.

My son has attended DMS for 3 years now, he was so excited about the new school year, and the 1st day. All of the staff @ this school have been nothing short of awesome. When your child is excited about school, and eager to go back, what can i say.. it just makes me smile. Keep up the good work DMS. and Thank you.
