My oldest son only went for 3 months in 2019. Violence and drug use has serious for years. My younger son is there now. COVID has created a climate of confusion and a lack of drive in a lot of students that is not being helped much by a lack of tight deadlines and or consequences from the staff. I feel they school focuses mostly on the good/ambitious/ obedient students and the athletes than encourages those who need extra help and a guidance. Unfortunately there is very little choice as it really is the only traditional high school in town. We are moving out of the district at the end of this school year because we need our son to be in a better environment.

I would rate this school 0 stars if possible. They are very understaffed and most classes have 40+ students in them. This is very dangerous as the teacher cannot keep up with the students. They also have no regard for students in need of help academically and personally. My nephew got kicked out of school just 2 months before graduation and they gave us no options otherwise. Unbelievable

My kids went to Ramona High School before we moved to another area. Overall the school is o.k. Definite grade inflation compared to some other districts. Too many kids are getting AP credit for advanced classes and not passing the AP tests. Even a marginal student is guaranteed a B if they do their homework. The facilities are old and the campus is rundown. Teachers are hit and miss; some good and some not so good. Ramona High School seems to be on a steady decline as they lose good teachers and continue to lower expectations on students.

Am gay. Can not remember ever being less supported by any school I have ever attended, including my elementary school and the local junior college. Barely survived my high school experience- was suicidal for most of it. 0/10 would not recommend to any queer student. Not that you really have a choice as there is a limited number of high schools in the area. But really if you're queer and have a choice, go anywhere else.

This school is a joke to the community and the expectations of parents and students. They all seem to just be getting a pay check and not teaching at all. In fact I don't think they are capable of teaching especially the math teachers. Sending your child here is a total waste of time someone really needs to talk to the kids and get the real story on what is going on at Ramona High School.

When school first started there was no working air conditioning in my 6th period. It was 100 degrees outside after lunch and we have no air conditioning! my teacher emailed the principal several times, my mom called the principal 4 times and left several messages, and she called the district twice yet nobody got back to her. this went on for 2 weeks. Im a Sophmore attending Ramona high school and I can give you different insight besides the smiling faces that the super intentons get. teachers do not want to be there. There is only really only a handful of teachers that care if you graduate and want you to grow as a person in their classroom and outside of school. It is frustrating for the student when the teacher doesn't care. I'm a smart girl, I've always had good grades (A's and maybe a few B's) but since I have attended Ramona high school I've gotten D's, go to tutoring everyday after school because my teacher cannot teach me. Last year my math teacher was practically incapable, I got a D. this year my teacher does not care (and yes he's admitted it). How is that fair for me? We also have a drug problem, limited resources,

I have been in this area for 15 years. I know of so many kids that have moved on to wonderful things after graduating from RHS. Like ALL schools, there are students who are not a fit with the program - but Ramona has many alternatives available in their district for those that do not fit within the traditional school.

Ramona High School is amazing Students get out of school what they and their parents are willing to put into it. This is true in any school district. Both my daughters attended Ramona High School and it prepared them for entrance into two exceptional Colleges not only in academics but sports as well. The teachers were wonderful as was the entire High School experience.

Some teachers are great, especially the APE teachers. Some are not up to par...don't return emails or.phone calls, inflexible with student needs. Some of the office staff don't seem to care about trying to help students to succeed. Too many just collecting a paycheck.
