My sons have had an excellent experience at Barstow. The teachers and staff are effective in teaching academics, promoting good character, and maintaining home and school communication. I feel like the staff has taken time to get to know my children and genuinely care about their well-being.

Both of my kids have attended Barstow. They had amazing teachers who went above and beyond their call of duty. Each grade had a different homework policy but overall it was reasonable for their age. We did not have any issues with bullying. In fact, they have made some really good friends. They are definitely going to be ready for middle school.

My child enjoyed attending Barstow during the 2016-2017 school year for social reasons. However, because the lack of differentiation for students exceeding grade level expectations my child will be withdrawn.

Barstow is an amazing elementary school with caring staff and lots of parent involvement - both with the PTA and in the classroom. The principal and vice principal are invested in the students and every member of the staff do a wonderful job of teaching and nurturing young minds.

I think if children have problems learning, They could help more, And when children come to school sick they should be sent home, That is my main concern that children staying at the school being sick

A good school lots of parent involvement and very parent friendly. The principal and assistant principal are always available to you and the teachers are always willing and happy to talk to you. This school gives you the family type atmosphere you would expect in the country without compromising the education received. We are truly blessed to have our daughter attending this school.

You know the TV show jingle "Everybody knows your name", well that place is Barstow. The Principal and Vice really do know all 500+ kids, as well as many parents and families. At Barstow they put very high effort to get parents involved within the school community, I am saying this as a parent, as well as a volunteer who spends great deal of time in the school. They always have something going on to involve the whole family as well as encourage children for extracurricular activities.
