Why is this school so poor, Spanish teacher doesn’t know the proper way to speak Spanish and is teaching kids to talk like her. Wouldn’t mind with my child learning Spanish if it was the right way. There should be other elecives like science class or music class. Very upset about this school

I am very sad to see the negative reviews. I am a firm believer that it takes a village to create something good. If you are a person who complains about everything you are adding to the problem. Small towns need great go-getters who are willing to step- up and help small schools, who lack all the funding to offer all the bells and whistles big town schools offer. These negative people need to ask themselves, are they adding to the problem? or are they part of the solution?? Potrero is a great school with an awesome Principal (Lugo) great staff who care about their students. Is the school perfect? No school is perfect! Be the change you want to be! My kids attend this school and quite frankly you will get out of it what you put in! Be involved and help!

First day for young kids, in regards to safety alone I'm in shock at the pure negligence and hope to be out of this school soon.

Potter has the potential to be a great school however poor leadership breaks this school. Having a principal who will do everything in her power to make her staff miserable and does not want parents to be involved in their children's education is ridiculous. The district needs to get more involved and see how she is running this school in the ground.

This was my first and thankfully last year at potrero. The middle school teachers are wonderful but academically this school is terrible. I was ahead of the class and due to that i had to spend the entire day learning on the computer. It was okay at first but after a while it got tiring. I am in 7th grade and was learning 8th grade things on the computer yet they for some reason couldn't move me up a grade. There are no electives and in my opinion do not instruct PE properly. A word of advice: do not bring your children to this school unless it is your only option!!

yes im sure its a great school thats probably the reason why so many parents are unsatisfied with this school but have to take their children because its the only school around in the potrero area but if there were onother im sure thats where youd actually see the diference ; i dont see no comment with hate posted here all i see is the awful truth about this school i dont see in no comment anyone spreadin hate as you say and you and i know for a fact this is a bad school and people only go because there is no other choice but honestly there should be onother school in the same area so that parents actually had a choice im sure portrero would shut down thats how bad it is down there there are more unhappy parents the only ones who are actually happy are staff or syaffs relatives but real parent who see all the wrong thing this school is in to im sure agree on what im saying THANK YOU HAVE A NICE DAY

Potrero is a great school. The students are wonderful. The staff is great too. I wish we had more parent involvement which would make the school even better. It is too sad for such negative people to make such awful comments about our school. I am a parent at this school and I only feel proud that my child attends Potrero. Keep making progress Potrero. Don't listen to the people who only wish to spread hate. It is a shame they are part of our community. I would recommend this school to anyone wishing to send their child here.
