Over the years this school and school district has lost all good and meaningful attributes it once had. To the way they no longer care about each individual child and their disabilities or personal needs, to the way they have a no acception rule to bullying that they in no way abide by. To the unbelievable way they act and treat students is disgusting. They have a way of putting on a smile and seem so concerned and caring, but when parents aren't able to see or hear what's going on the treatment of their children is anything but concerned or caring. They have been known to favor their own children or family members children over others in situations of bullying or other concerning situations. Always protecting their own children or children close to them. Handing out unfair punishment to the children they don't like or don't like their parents.. being that many of us grew up and went to school together, the staff often decides wether they like a child or not simply based on their feelings towards the childs parent or parents. And it's widely known that the principal Laura Hollister is the District Attorney's wife and uses county resources to run background checks on parents and care givers on a regular basis as a way to decide how she feels about the child or children under her educational care. And based on her feelings towards these children is the determining factor on how your children will be treated or favored. These kids fall behind in school and are never cared for enough to receive help catching back up.. they pass them forward with no care for the childs success. As long as your child is in attendance they could care less about the kids in their school. It's sad to watch as these children are mistreated and discarded. I myself attended this school as a child. And unfortunately things aren't the way they used to be many years ago. Plumas Unified School District is the last place you want your child to attend school. We need change here, and unfortunately I don't see any changes in the near future. Our children deserve better than this. 100%

CRC is an amazing elementary school. The best in Plumas County. The teachers, Principal and staff love the children and go above and beyond daily to bring the best learning environment to every student.

The administration is top notch --- always looking for ways to provide the best for students, staff and the community. CRC supports their students with intervention programs and works to give each student what they need. Teachers are very responsive and communicate regularly with families. The programs on campus also in include Social Emotional Learning and a Positive Behavior support system. During the pandemic, they offered on campus hubs for students that did not have good internet capability. They worked to offer many options for families: on campus, distance learning and independent study. A great rural school!

We feel lucky that our children attend this school with the current administration in place. They truly care about the kids and create a real sense of community on campus.

bullying, no educational help, no respect for parents, lack of communication with parents on progress of the children.

This school needs some major adjustments. I wasnt even told that my child was not graduating to the next grade level until a week before school ended. I had tried on many occasions to have meetings with the teacher and to talk to the principal with no luck. There is no after school help, or learning programs to help students struggling in certain educational subjects.

CRC provides a wonderful education in a rural setting. They struggle with their budget but provide excellent staff and everyone seems to work together to meet the needs of the students. Parent support is good and always welcome. The more time I spend on campus in my child's class the more I realize what a great team they have at CRC.

crc is going down hill fast the principle has no respect for parents and needs to remember she is a adult. not one of the rumor starting children..she needs to learn how to focus on the kids and help them efficiently, to prevent struggling kids and low test scores
