So my granddaughter had a heart issue during pe class and no nurse today at this school. I'm sorry this is not acceptable who is taking care if any child with a need. I will not send my child to school until I get the ok. But issues of child safety is ongoing here my granddaughter should have been escorted to a nurse which wasn't available and no pe teacher made sure she even got to a nurse or past out somewhere in a bathroom or to the nurse which wasn't there is pathetic .this school has no child interest at all I can't even believe I have to bring her here every morning. I am going to news they didn't even have a nurse today and she was In the er. Again another safety issue ok she wasn't killed outside in a crosswalk but no nurse and she had a heart issue no respect or trust in this school who doesn't have a nurse for students when school is in session? Again this will be In news and addressed

My child has attended Sugar Mill Elementary since 2012 beginning in the summer for VPK, transitioned into Kindergarten, and now a first grader. His kindergarten year was a complete success. His teacher always communicated with me about my child and I made efforts to continue education with him at home. The administration is very involved with the students, they make sure there is a resolution to all problems. After school pick up, children have various locations for pick up YMCA, BUS PICK UP, PARENT PICKUP, and bikers and walkers, etc. . . Each pick up area has administration watching the area and children must notify administration before leaving the school. I also have a cousin who attends school here as well and he was a second grader now going to third grade, he was put in after school tutoring for reading by his teacher, she recognized a problem and brought forth solution. I love the staff and the parents that actually get involved with their students to be sure they are making the best of themselves academically. BRAVO to the NEW SCHOOL YEAR!! YAYAY!! for 2013

My kindergarten son is having a great year at Sugar Mill. The administration and teachers are both highly skilled and dedicated to the academic, social and emotional well being of students. Communication is outstanding. How do we thank them?

My daughter has been at SugarMill since kindergarten and is now in 5th grade. I love this school and I am sad because at the end of this year it will be her last. My hat goes off to the Pricipal and all the Teachers and PTA members. It really does takes a village to raise a child and I am greatful she had the oppourtunity to attend Sugarmill. Teachers are a big influence on our children just like parents. I truly believe we all try to lead by exzample because after all our children are our future and we all have to work together.

MMy daughter has entered her second year at SME as a first grader. So far so good although last year was a nightmare! As a kindergartner she would take the bus daily to school and after about 2 weeks we were notified that she was showing up late to class although her bus was listed as arriving on time. I met with the principal since NO ONE could seem to locate our daughters where abouts for a 30 minute time span. Well the principal did NOTHING to address the issue, didn't even receive an update phone call. Its a bit concerning that a 5 year old was unsupervised on school campus. Needless to say we discovered what was going on but it took us as the parents to "spy" on her once she arrived at school The bus system is also horrific. They dropped our daughter off at the wrong spot once and drove by her pick up twice. Regardless of all this the teachers are outstanding. Mrs. Gresham was fabulous and Mrs.Marshall really inspires the kids to want to learn. Recommended for the teachers but the administration and bus system are very concerning!

Are you kidding me??? Mrs. Marshall should not be teaching children period! Perhaps you should have visited the classroom!
