You people must have lost your mind. Someone needs to be fired and it's not the lunch lady. Fire that supervisor who cost this poor woman her job and the principal who allowed it to get this far. Absolutely disgusting.

What a horrible school! I cant believe that they would fire a worker over $1.70 AND refuse lunch to a hungry child. Im in awe!

If a school would fire a lunch lady for a giving a free lunch to a hungry child, then it needs to be restaffed and the state made to take a long, hard look at this school's policies as well. That is disgusting.

Any school that would fire a food service worker who gave food to a poor and hungry child for free, (but who also offered to pay for the student's meal the meager $2.00 in order to keep her job), should have its Board members replaced. clearly the current powers-that-be are void any compassion and concern for the well-being of their community. Punishing a worker for a very kind and generous deed, while at the same time discriminating against children in-need. this is shocking and despicable behavior. Shame on you Irving Middle School! I hope the teachers and administrators walk out in protest.

bullies tease others for how they look and the school staff put children in small rooms for weeks! the school should be shut down for good! the teachers just watch as students are getting bullied! DO NOT SEND YOUR STUDENTS THERE!!!

I just wanted to say now as the end of the year is here that I am thankful for the opportunity to take my children to another school district where the job to TEACH children is not taken lightly and now my children will have the opportunity to receive the education that they deserve by caring teachers. I repeatedly through out the school year talked to staff members about my son failing his math class. Mind you he came from Jefferson as a straight A, 100% attendance student to Irving failing the entire year begging me daily to let him stay home. his math teacher is by far the worst teacher I have ever met. She is uncaring and unwilling to help the students. I never once received a phone call, letter, email or any other type of information from her or any other member of your staff about his grades. I came to the school, trying to remove him from the class, but as you know there aren't many options for sixth grade math teachers. So now we're in another state and based off of their testing he scores at a fifth grade level. Imagine that. This entire year at Irving was a complete waste. He learned nothing. Worst school I have ever had my children enrolled in.
