I could not be more pleased with the experience my daughter has had at Fourth Baptist. From the very beginning, it has become evident that this school is dedicated to providing an exceptional education and fostering a warm and friendly environment for its students. We loved the teacher in my daughters kindergarten class. She has undoubtedly set the students on the right path to success. Through her guidance and expertise, my child progressed from learning the basics of reading to comfortably reading short books that year. It is truly impressive how the curriculum is structured to accelerate their learning without overwhelming them.Apart from excellent academics, the school's focus on music education is outstanding!!! The annual Christmas concert is a highlight for both students and parents alike. Seeing each child play different instruments and witnessing the unforgettable singing performances by each grade is simply amazing! I was thoroughly impressed by the students' musical talent and the effort they put into their performances. What sets this school apart is its dedication to music education. The availability of onsite private piano teachers is a fantastic opportunity for children to engage with music from a young age. Even kindergarteners have the chance to explore their musical potential, making it an enriching experience for budding musicians. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that the price of this school is quite reasonable when compared to other institutions offering similar academic rigor. The fact that they provide such advanced learning opportunities without charging exorbitant fees is commendable.Lastly, the warm and inclusive community at Fourth Baptiar is truly noteworthy. From the teachers to the staff and fellow parents, everyone radiates positivity and support. You also see the principal interact with the kids and is always helping out. It's a joy for both parents and children to be part of such a welcoming environment. In conclusion, I cannot speak highly enough of thos school. The combination of their excellent curriculum, dedicated teachers, remarkable musical education, and affordable pricing make it an outstanding choice for parents seeking an academically advanced school that prioritizes the overall growth and happiness of their children. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and I am excited to see my daughter continue to thrive in this exceptional educational environment!

We recently left the public school system and moved our three children to Fourth Baptist. It has far exceeded our expectations. Coming from "the top public school system in the state", Fourth Baptist academics, student-to-teacher ratio and music program, far exceeds what we experienced in our public school. The academic rigor is challenging and fundamentals are stressed. Early learning students are taught phonics, cursive, spelling and vocabulary. The school is extremely transparent with parents. My kids come home weekly with work they did throughout the week and everything is percentage graded. I know exactly where my child is preforming academically. I grew up going to public schools and assumed my children would do the same, after seeming my kids fall behind academically at their public school, and now experiencing Fourth Baptist, the difference is incredible. The Fourth Baptist teachers daily share their love of Christ and love of teaching and my children have benefited greatly from this wonderful school.

School is built on fundamentalist practices and does not have the ability to give students better options

Fourth Baptist has been a great blessing to us. This is not our church and not our denomination. Yet, we love this school and the people there. This school offers a great education at about half the cost of other local Christian schools. We love the excellent music program, the teachers that genuinely care about our kids, free early care for flexible drop off and minimal cost for after school care, and the small grade size. I like that our kids still learn cursive and are not issued a screen at a young age. I like that most every teacher in the building knows my kids' names. They don't need to wear a tag with their student number, their teacher's name, and their bus number so that someone can help them if they get lost among the other 1000 students at our public elementary school. If you are looking for a Christian school, I highly recommend Fourth Baptist for your kids and your wallet.

The reviewer who posted on August 12, 2012 apparently isn't familiar with FBCS's long history of producing graduates who excel in college--including many who went on to graduate from elite universities. Yes, many have gone into various ministry positions; but there are also doctors, attorneys, college professors, high-ranking military officers, etc. The most recent class of seniors (15 graduates) included one National Merit Finalist and one National Merit Commended student. The class was collectively awarded several hundred thousand dollars in scholarships to attend a variety of colleges & universities. There were co-valedictorians: one is getting a package of full-ride scholarships to double-major in Physics & Astrophysics; the other is getting large scholarships to double-major in Mechanical & Civil Engineering. Although the school does presently lack AP classes, the students have access to a good range of challenging classes (including PSEO), and student's average ACT scores are high.

Fourth Baptist Christian school lacks the sufficient capital and skill to accommodate student's need for that mandatory level of education. They claim to hold some of the most advanced education courses, but does not know any of the competition among them. Fourth Baptist lacks the money to give students the right resources such as AP courses. These courses are essential in getting into a better college or University, but without these, a student will not have choices in their future after high school. Also, most of the alumni go to Bible Colleges. these are fine schools if you want to be involved in the ministry. Fourth Baptist Christian School is a very obvious school--Their names says it all. It does not train students to fulfill their own wishes, but restricts them to the little world of the ministry.

Fourth Baptist Christian School is an overall excellent school. Its main strengths are its academics and music programs, however, it does not have many sports or extracurricular activities. It is a good experience until around 7th grade. The school's lack of abundance of money hinders its many capabilities. The social life could be better, and there are some issues with staff legalism, however, that has been improving. New administration and staff are helping to ease the school out of its very strict, almost stereotypical "church school" persona. It is excellent in the area of teaching kids about God and providing a good academic and musical foundation but does not have the resources to challenge all students through high school. When compared to area schools like Wayzata High School which has the highest educational, staff, and extracurricular rating available, there is much less opportunity for gifted students to be challenged, there are less extracurriculars, and comparatively less staff. My recommendation would be to attend Fourth from Kindergarten through 7th grade, transition into Wayzata Public Schools for a year of adjustment, and eventually progress to Wayzata High School.
