From the point of view as an ex-student of this school... Counselors did nothing to help the students in need of help (especially from bullies) and did not keep the confidentiality promise (i understand about major things, but i am speaking about minor things such as rumors)Teachers did not teach nor help students who were actually struggling, and had absolutely ZERO control of the classroom. At times teachers would go as far as to SHAME students for their thought process on how subjects workPrincipal & vice principal did nothing to keep safety a priority. Maybe a few little games here and there but no serious talks or disciplinary actions taken to bullies & violent students, even when victims had enough proof it is happeningPrincipal would shame parents & guardians for disliking the school as well. In conclusion, the 3 years i went here literally ruined me

Both my kids went here and they lack proper facilities to be called a junior high. PE classes are to be done without dressing down or proper locker rooms and done in regular clothing. They lack choice and variety for classes. The teachers hate their job and have had to have multiple conferences with teachers about inputting grades lack of communication.

No special education programs. No leadership. Dress code not enforced.(short short cutoffs). Kids bullying other kids. Very sad. The school is out of control . On the up side office ladies and nurse are nice.

The special education department is awful. The principal does not return emails. The school district only has one speech staff person that serves the three school in the district. The special education department will cut services such as Speech, Adapt PE, etc. if your child receives it. A lot has to do with the school not having the funds to fully support special education. Staff tries to force the parents to sign the IEP on the spot after the meeting. Which violates parental rights. So Beware! Staff looks the other way when it comes to bullying. Find another school and run as fast as you can!! Better yet fill out an inter-district transfer and send them to either Roseviile, Rocklin, Lincoln or Granite Bay Schools. Much better education and the staff really cares about students even the special education department wants to see students succeed.

We haven't had any problems with this school. Teachers and staff are very pleasant and easy to communicate with.

i used to go to this school the special ed it is the best one ive ever intened i love the techer and they all there to help all the people leaveing the school are happy and fun school

I had nothing but problems with this school. I truly feel the teachers are there only for a paycheck and do not care about any student that isn't earning at 4.0 GPA. I am so happy and relieved my child finished the 8th grade so we no longer have to deal with this school. Students receive referrals and suspensions for things that get overlooked at other schools. Its easier for the teachers and principal to remove the students and not have to deal with them than provide guidance and mentorship. When it is time for my other children to enter 6th grade, it will NOT be at Riverside Meadows Intermediate School.
