My child attends this elementary school. I am very pleased with the overall experience. My child enjoys going to school. He is happy with his teachers and does require the extra help of reading and speech aides. So far this has been a positive experience. They work hard on teaching children kindness and non violence to solve their differences. I often volunteer at the school and I feel like they have it very well maintained and the teachers love their job. There is often a police officer in the school for safety. They have drills and practice safety for all scenarios. They also just got approved to build an additional gymnasium on for more space. The building itself is old but well maintained for its age. I would recommend this school and community to anyone considering moving here. I am also a graduate of Plains and I came back to the district for a reason. It's a nice place to raise children.

New parent to the district. I am very impressed with the overall structure of the school. I feel like my child is getting a good education and even though we are still battling COVID cases- the staff is dedicated to maintaining the safety of our kids first. We also had difficulty with an instance of bullying and it was met with swift action and communication was always provided to us. I'm very glad we chose this district!

As a parent of a student with a disability, I would not recommend this school as your first choice. It is sad regarding the amount of struggle it required to get simple, helpful things done for your child. I was not happy with the leadership of the school. There are many reasons I could give but I will just leave it at that.

Farmingdale elementary and middle school are a very good place to have your children in attendance. We have 4 granddaughter who are in attendance there this year and I feel that the teachers will be helping and concerned with their needs as far as the time allows. The older ones had some learning problems when starting out, so the administration and teachers have done so much to improve their attitude and skills. Great place!!!!!!

This year, my children are completing fourth and second grade, respectively, at Farmingdale. I can't say enough great things about it. The Parent Teacher Club is very active, there are lots of opportunities for parent involvement, and the teachers are truly concerned about their students. They have also received the highest level of commendation from the state regarding ISAT scores, etc. It's a great school!
