I think Hendrick has a good learning environment but the teachers are messy they talk about other students and have no control over their kids, they will stand and watch a fight happen and not do anything about it. From my experience, they play favorites and as a kid who went to Hendrick 2023 I don't think much has changed so if you're looking for schools in the PISD district I don't recommend having your kid attend this school.J.J

This is a wonderful school for my daughter to be at the first year back after COVID. Kids are going through a lot, but the administrators here always find the time to listen and to counsel students going through difficulty times. There is a strong coaching staff and many very caring teachers. The school has a strong athletics program, AVID program, and is building a more involved chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. All of these three groups are led by teachers and coaches who are trying to develop respectful, accountable students who work to make the school better. The theater and music programs are also run by dedicated teachers. I believe this is actually the smallest middle school in Plano, as far as attendance goes, and that may be one of the reasons the administrators seem to know ALL of the kids by name. It's a good school getting better each year.

Not happy with the treatment of my child. One teacher was highly inappropriate with my son. PTA is overly involved in the personal lives of parents. Very gossipy.

I would not recommend this school if you are a non Asian or Caucasian student. The staff tend to believe every stereotype and have the tendency to call the kids rude names.

I have gone through this school and coming out with many nightmares. Sure this is a great school, but the reason why I give it 2 stars is because of the language, the way the teachers act, and the overall atmosphere of this school. Some teachers were sexist. My friend got in ISS for bring a NAIL CLIPPER. He was told it was a "potential weapon".

My child has a disability attended Hendrick for two years. Im was never impressed, I feel my child did not thrive at all. I constantly had to make sure they were following the IEP. If you have a child with a disability please choose another school. Especially if your child is higher functioning. I feel my child has not learned anything this our second school the first was Wilson Middle . I can not allow my child to go to a school ignored and not taught. We are moving out of the district. I PRAY that the next four years will be better.

th 8th grade counselor is so nice! i have 3 to 4 electives! can't wait to go here
