Classical Christian School for the Arts moved to their new building in May of 2021.The school now owns the building. This year there are 180 students in grades k-12. Most of the teachers have taught for several years. The PE classes take place in Astro Skate. There is a dance teacher who is wonderful and their dance shows are in Dec and May at the Pinellas Park PAC.CCSA is a non-profit and has wonderful, dedicated and hard working teachers.

The previous review (12/17/22) is from a parent whose 3 kids missed more than 30 days of school. She needs to take personal responsibility for her kids succeeding by first having them show up. The band teacher is a wonderful teacher and the accusation she made is unfounded and untrue. This parent also has worked for another school in the area so she is trying to slander the school. CCSA is a wonderful school that has been open for 17 years. Our teaching staff is wonderful with many working here for over 10 years and some since we opened. Our principal is a wonderful administrator with 15 years experience on the job.

If I could give CCSA no stars I would. CCSA is a terrible school . They have the worse principal that lies on all the kids . You have a band teacher hitting children. They changed children grades whenever they want . The owner doesn’t do anything about these situations. Don’t send your child to that school

My children (2 boys) have been attending this school for the last 2 years. They came from another private school using the same curriculum but WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN TEACHINGS from the old school to the new. My kids have learned WAY MORE in CCSA from their AWESOME teachers and the school structure is amazing. I love that they get to have elective choices from K-12. This is a non-denominational school but they do learn the Bible and have "Chapel" on Fridays. Very well rounded teachings of both. The staff here are very warm and inviting and every staff member knows each child by name. The fact that there are "all walks of life" here also makes for a well rounded interaction among students. Therefore, I feel I am not sheltering them from the "real world" and they still get those "real world" experiences here. The physical education department houses a variety of sports activities and I was thrilled to know my FOURTH grader this year was able to play on the soccer team, not just the "older, better players" but a mix of students. I highly recommend CCSA for your child!

The academic of the school are bad , they don’t prepare you to college .In the arts electives is not opportunity to grow your skill because all of the clases where beginner level 1 . I wish that they have like in 4 levels in each elective so you don’t have to take the same level 1 elective over and over again . In the electives the middle school kids and the high school kids they have to be in the same elective .

Where does all the $$ go? They need to be audited for sure. They don't own the building, kids have to play in a parking lot. Can't afford good sports equipment. To many kids per teacher.

Wonderful experience for children that attend for academics as well as the arts

As a private school the standards are above those of the public school system. There are occasionally students who are not asked back to the school, some individual and families are not a good fit. The school creates an atmosphere for success, and will not jeopardize the classroom environment. It is a small school that focuses on each child's development. The opportunity is there, what a student or parent decides to do with that opportunity is on them.

CCSA has been wonderful for my family. My children really enjoy it and have been very successful during their time attending. I am also a teacher and really enjoy watching my children recall to me what they have retained from their classes. We are also happy with the different electives the children are offered. Mine love the ballet and computer classes. We are thankful to be a part of this school.

My child has been attending this school since 4th grade. now in middle school I have seen her blossom over the last few years. when we came to the school she was shy, lacked confidence, and cooking from public school was well behind this school's academic program. Due to some great teachers and a private tutor, I am proud to say that she now is an honor roll student and participates in all of the schools wonderful elective programs such as dance and theater. We love CCSA!!

I am blessed to have my family associated with this school. My son, who is in 3rd grade now has been going to this school since kindergarten. The truth is, my son has always been a smart kid, but I am truly amazed at the level of knowledge he is acquiring every day at the school. He has learnt to read at the age of 4 from the most wonderful Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Williams. He has learnt to love history, science and even math. The level of support and dedication from all his teachers is amazing. He is always encouraged to think critically, to question things and to grow in the Christian faith. We love all the elective classes offered in the afternoons. He gest to try out his talent at drama, singing, sports and musical instruments. The best part is that by the time we pick him up he has already finished his extracurricular activities and we can spend the evenings together just relaxing. My daughter will definitely be going to this school as well.

Bad bad bad!!!!!!!! My daughter attended one year at this poor excuse for a school. I have no problem with religion or the "arts" but there is way too much of that and not nearly enough actual academics. The reading expectations are lower than that of most public schools and there is a reason that there are only 3 seniors. Most parents figure it out. The pastor stands in the drop off line every morning badgering parents to sign up for next year. He did many other things including questioning my fiance about money that I never recieved through a family tragedy that had nothing to do with school. Never got one notice of my daughters progress and skthough after care goes until 5:30 we got several xalls fron the aftercare teacher vetween 5 and 5:15 one if them saying" I have a life too". Then dont volunteer for the job.

To respond to the "teacher", I use that term lightly because I am sure that the student I am referring to was not actually taught. Unless you call putting that child in front of a computer all day, teaching him. That student was pulled out of that school and is now in a public school in a different state. He has no basic skills whatsoever, no phonetics, no basic math, nothing. He was tested and did not show any signs of a learning disability, let alone a severe one. He was deemed teachable and you know what, he actually learned something this year because he had a teacher, not a computer. He was brought up two grade levels in reading and his math also improved. Like I said, this school is a disgrace and should not even be called a school. If you want to teach the arts, fine. But don't accept students because it is free money for your school. Disgusting.

In response to the previous comment, I have worked at this school for one year (2011-2012) and am familiar with all the students. We do have one or two students with extreme learning disabilities which may hinder their ability in certain areas, however, I know each student quite well individually and can say without a shadow of a doubt that each of them is cared for in a way that you will not find in most schools.

This school is one of the best-kept secrets in Pinellas county! If you are looking for caring teachers, a family atmosphere, a Christian worldview, an opportunity for the arts such as Drama, Chorus, Band, Painting, Dance, Guitar, Folk Arts, and MORE, as well as sports... then come check out this school! I agree this isn't for everyone, but it has been a huge blessing for my family, and the kids going there LOVE it! Come and see it for yourself! God bless the directors for starting this school!

I took my child out because it wasn't a good fit for her and got verbally yelled at by the Director - then he dragged my child into the meeting so he could yell at them too! Then he threatened to sue me if I didn't pay the balance that I owed to the school - not even giving me a chance to default just assuming that is what I would do. I agree the "Arts" part is VERY overrated. I was embarrassed to be apart of the Fall Festival it was lame. But mostly concerned about the intention of the school - its all about money and not really about the kids. My child struggled with acedemics and was taken out of a tutoring class and placed in a non acedemic activity without by knowledge or consent. NO organization skills there at all. No one knows what the other person is doing and they don't communicate
