My son is a junior this year and loves the school. The principal is first class and so are the teachers don’t take my word for it, the School was voted Palmetto’s Finest for 2023!!! The best high school in the entire state of South Carolina according to the SC Department of Education.

Woodmont is a community and a home. Most of us never left after graduating. We still meet and have fun together as class groups and support community events and current students. We have the best multiple year class reunions and love keeping in touch with teachers and staff.

Woodmont was great! It prepared me to succeed in college where I was able to graduate on time in 4 years. The school has many resources and great teachers. The school is not as diverse as I would like, but that is improving.

I would rate it to be awful the worst high school I have been to.

the school would be fine if they gave the staff a class on personal behavior. The attitudes or awful.

As a parent of a Freshman, my first experience with Woodmont High was the Freshman academy and the LINK program which partners outstanding upper classmen with 9th grade students for mentoring purposes. This has allowed us to experience future leaders that are a positive influence on our younger students. The teachers are encouraging and involved and willing to partner with me to support my students academic success. The band program has built confidence, encouraged team work, kindness and is built on mutual respect for students, staff and parents. I have been more than impressed with the level of responsibility these students are given and how they have risen to meet high expectations. The guidance department as been outstanding, schedule issues were addressed in a timely manner. Lastly, this is one of few schools in the area which offer the International Baccaloriate program. We look forward to the future at Woodmont which is in a rural setting, yet competitive in nature with other schools academically.

My daughter is a current student at Woodmont, and I would not recommend any one choosing this school for their children. The staff shows no concern for the students. When I talked with the school counsoler, because I feel my child is in danger of dropping out she seemed unconserned . Did not offer any help or suggestions on how we could work together to keep her in school. The dress code goes uninforced. Boys w/ their pants belted around their knees, and girls hanging out of their clothes. During lunch the kids are separated into lines based on full pay/free or reduced. This makes it easier for the lower income children to be identified and picked on. The list goes on and on of complaints I have. Fortunately we will soon be moving and I will no longer have to send my kids to ANY Greenville County school.

The building is beautiful and there are a handful of really great teachers. Most teachers live in the area and show partiality. If you are in business and do not have time to "volunteer" then your child will be pushed aside. Also watch out for sports teams. They haven't figured out that sports bring in money. How to improve this school... 1- get administration that cares about the children and puts them first not politics. 2-Place cameras in all classrooms to stop any problems on either the students or teachers. 3-Have a board made up of faculty, parents, and students to hire teachers. (Not the PTA) 4- Allow parents and teachers to belong to only one board at a time. 5-Have actual counselors at the school with open door policy for students problems. Currently some counselors require an appointment to meet with them.6- Release teachers from duty instead of giving them numerous times to get it right.

This school is decent it's ok for the most part my first day was the worst I missed 3 class periods waiting to get my schedule because the guidance department was so unorganized so 3 hours later I finally got it and then I had trouble finding my classes and barely had any help getting to them . I Pefer my old school ,Long Reach High School atleast their they sent a senior to guide me to my classes on my first day. So all in all I'm not really liking this school

I am currently a student and i love this place to death. I fit in perfectly and the fine arts department is absolutely amazing. I wouldn't leave for the world.

this school would rather have an automated answering machine call the parents to inform them that their student did not go to class. the school administration would rather not deal with a one on one conversation with a parent to inform them of a students behavior because it is in fact the schools faculty that condones it!!!! these kids are allowed to leave the school grounds at any given time of the day.no questions asked. I feel as a parent that i need to monitor the parking lot after i drop my son off just to make sure he doesnt leave. i hold my child responsible for his actions but i feel as though the school takes no measures in the safety of the students when they can just walk out whenever they please!!!! it is their responsibility to make sure these kids are in class.

Woodmont! i love this school! It's a great school. I'm not saying it just because. it really is. Academics are actually pretty great! Especially if your an incoming freshman, since you have 4 year long classes, it's easier. BEST SCHOOL EVER! Were pretty big on school spirit. The buildings new, discipline is something to not complain about and teachers here are great. Although there is some not very nice teachers, but all schools have that so get over it. Raising money is pretty easy here. Lunch is great!! Smoothies, frappuchinos & a bunch of other stuff. Administrators are straight up about the rules so its a great way to discipline. OVER ALL GREAT SCHOOL! Don't talk bad about this school if you not attending! :) I think this schools actually very enjoyable. Plus most if not all materials are updated and the staff is wondeful! Library is HUGE!!!! Theres a never ending about of resources, books and computers! SO that really helps! IF I WAS A PARENT I WOULD SEND MY KID HERE. : ) hope this review helped!

I am a new teacher this year at Woodmont and was very pleased to discover that this is a wonderful school! I have been in other schools in Greenville county, both as a teacher and a parent, and Woodmont rates right up with the best! The students are the same as anywhere else although maybe a little friendlier and nicer to the teachers. Academically the top classes are very rigourous and the CP classes are challenging as well. Unlike other schools the administration here seems to sincerely care about the students and take extra measures to work with those who are seriously in danger of failing or dropping out. This is NOT the old Woodmont but a much improved version. I love it here!!

This might be a great school if you look at the top 20% of the students, but the other 80% is the same old Woodmont, just in a pretty new building. We cannot get return calls from the principal to follow up after meeting on a particular issue that multiple parents have complained about (student teacher doesn't speak English). We are not happy with the school, the administration, and believe that there is too much freedom (parking lot) at this school. We also do not receive calls regarding absences, etc..... We received the first one this week; and updated our phone numbers with them several months ago.
