My son and daughter attended this School until August 12, 2022. I had heard so many bad comments about this school but I didnt listen. My son was in his class when another student approached him from behind and flipped off his hat. My son turned and brushed him off and told him to leave him alone. As my son was getting up the other student didnt stop there, he then came and punched my son on the face, breaking his nose, giving him a black eye and leaving my son feeling very light headed. My son defended himself and punched him back. The principal and school dean broke the fight. The dean then went to get my daughter out of class and she was thinking she was in trouble or something. They then told my children to go ahead and tell me what had happened and escorted them to the car and asked them to leave campus. Never did I receive a phone call to let me know what had happened. My son got to my work and I had to then take him to the hospital. The hospital asked what had happened and were astonished and furious how that school handled the situation since they are both minors. They called the police to make a report against the school. When I posted this story on fb thats when the principal reached out asking me to take down my post and saying he handled it. How? I the mother was the one that had to leave work to take my child to the hospital since he didnt do anything. Now my child has to see a specialist, I have to be taking time off from work. I have reached out to the charter school board but nobody has reached out to me regarding my complaint. Also, teachers in this school keep put students down as my son went thru that also from a teacher that would tell him he was going to be a nobody. All I want is for this school to change something And not fail students as they failed my children. If I could put negative stars i would. Your children deserve better education than this.

Thank you South Pointe High School, teachers, and staff! ecspecially to Mrs. Chavez! Thank you so much for taking a special interest in my daughter educational needs. Without your help and support, I don't think she would have been able to pull through and graduate. You are a true asset to the team at South Pointe High

South Pointe High School gave me a second chance to prove to my parents and to myself that I could graduate from high school. The teachers and Mr. McGill and Ms. Chavez believed in me and encouraged me throughout the entire process. They never gave up on me. They were hard on me, but I thank them for not allowing me to just settle for less than my best.

as a current student at south pointe, I have been attending this school since my freshman year. even though it is a small school it is just as great as any other school. I have gotten involved with so many things being able to help others and grow as a person. The staff is so helping and nurturing. There are so many things that make this school great from the enoviorment down to the people.

I think South Pointe offers students an opportunity to be successful. The school appears to have made several positive changes over the past few years and they seem to work with their students and families. They expanded their campus and offer a variety of programs and events for the community. I've heard mixed reviews on the school but it's been in South Phoenix for over 10 years so they must be doing something right.
