My experience of Milestone's Charter School is one of a caring and safe atmosphere, with a grand standard of education. Teachers are proficient in their specialties and go above and beyond to ensure their students success. The retention rate of teachers and staff is very high and that is very important when looking for a school for your child. I highly recommend this school.

Our son attended Pre-K with Milestones Charter School. He started going there when he was 4 years old. We really loved this pre-school. What we really liked was that all the teachers and support staff had great empathy towards the children and parents alike. Aside from core academic such as writing and math, the school also fosters love for sports, music, arts, sciences and history. The kids sing and have a lot of fun with very talented teachers that bring in instruments to perform with them. This is very important to me as I believe children should have well rounded exposure to all subjects at this age. Kids here are very self-driven, happy and cheerful. The credit goes to highly dedicated, hardworking and kind teachers.Unlike other school, even the administration staff knows every child here by name and are very helpful. Ms. Catherine, Ms. Pam, Ms. Stephanie, Coach Bill - You have polished these little ones up so bright and shiny, the responsibility of keeping that shine alive is both humbling and inspiring...

I have two children that went to Milestones. One received excellent academic direction, but only because he stayed with the same AMAZING teacher for 3 years. My older son received a sub par educational experience, was bullied by teachers and students and nothing was done. The principal at the time was uncaring, and not committed to the students progress. The management seems unorganized and incapable of actually administering to the students.

My kids have attended Milestones for the past 5 years. Not only are they great students, athletes, and well respected but they are also genuine little people because of the family atmosphere at the school. Our school has the same issues as other schools but it's important for parent involvement and support to make it all work. I'd keep them there through High School if I could.

The K-Prep is just what 4 year olds need. I know, some parents won't be happy about the 2 pages of homework kids get. However, we felt it really helped our kid stay focused (he gets distracted very easy) on letters, numbers and now words. The focus on handwriting, coloring, singing has been a blessing for our kid.

I put my kid for threes and they didn't know how to deal with crying child and to an extend i happen to saw they were showing discrimination because he was crying.. Also the teacher in one of threes class is definitely not fit to be a teacher. I'm echoing review of atleast 5 parents I have spoken till date about that particular teacher.. Better teach kid at home than to this particular class of threes where strength is near 30 looked by mere 2 teachers...

I would like to start by saying, no matter where you go-there will always be postives and negatives. In my experience and what I tell people I know who are looking into schools/preschool/daycare, this school has been amazing. It is a small close knit community of caring people-faculty and parents. I have met some really amazing families who my children and I have become close with. The faculty has always taken the time for any concerns or issues that I have brought up. My children have some health issues and the school has always been attentive to those issues. I feel like the faculty creates a safe learning environment for my children. The principal and teachers take care of each student as if he/she is their own child-this is something that is hard to find anywhere else. In talking with other families of typical public schools, MCS is WAY ahead of the game. They make learning fun and enjoyable. I am also very pleased with the extra curricular activities that are available on campus. It is so helpful to have everything there to save on the commute back and forth with multiple children in multiple activities! I love this school and am proud to take my children here.

I am so excited for this new school year. There are so many changes happening at the school for the better. This pass school year there were changes academically that gave the school a better grade rating and they continue to make changes to challenge their students in fun ways. Their acquisition of technology, and quality art and PE programs for the students has also improved. There are also solar panels being installed from a grant the school received. The staff are so friendly and know me and my son by first name. This school is the place to be if you want your child in a safe, caring environment with quality teachers and instruction.

My son attends this school for the 4rth year. He should have been yanked out after his 2nd year, due to lack of education at his grade level. Besides this, the faculty does not address the bullying issue. No policy in place, makes no assurance the children attending this school are safe.

My son has been with the school since Pre-K and has received a great education. I have recommended this school to other at my job and they have their children their also. When the Principal states at the beginning of each year that the Parents are going thru school again it is true. You have to be an involved parent, school is not a babysitting place, to get the most out of any education you have to put time and effort into your child to assist them to succeed. I will continue to recommend the school to others because I believe in the school.

Milestones is a good school. I know that it is run and staffed by caring individuals that work many hours for the benefit of children. Administration has implemented many changes this year for the better. As a teacher, I feel supported by Administration and understand and support the goals in place. This year alone, administration has implemented a new technology program, new lesson planning software, school wide common core software, new laptops, smart boards, and technology for teacher use as well as new picnic tables for the outside. Teachers also meet weekly with administration and collaborate on implementation of programs and resources for the benefits of kids. All teachers communicate administrative thoughts weekly with parents. Parents should be aware of all that goes on behind the scenes for the benefit of their children.

The administrative staff is the worst I have ever seen. There is no communication between the staff, parents or teachers. There are some great teachers at the school however the lack of support from the leadership makes them ineffectve.the capuses is in disaray and unkempt. If the school has goalsthere is no plan being followed to reach them.It looks like the school is run just to make money for a few on the backs of rest, the teachers, parents and worst of all the children, and they can't evern get that right. There is a large turn over and a list of unfulfilled promises. Programs that just went away to cover poor management, there hearts may be in the right place but they have no skills on how to run an effective administrative staff or school. If someone from the school reads this please spend the money, get your self a good management team and plan in place or close. Do it for the Children

Milestones is a fantastic school that builds the students up both academically and socially. Sad as it is there will always be a student or two who feel that they are behind. The children with learning disabilities recieve much needed attention in the lacking areas. Every child is given the proper education at Milestones, and I find it a sorry excuse to try and blame genetics for a lack of effort on the student's part. Students need to be willing to learn, and yes some people have to put more effort into learning various subjects. I know students who show an understanding of the work taught are then taught more challenging subjects. Graduates from this school are known to thrive in high school and college. Plus the students are loved. That is what makes this school so great.

I go to this school and I am BEHIND in math and science, writing and language arts is no problem I get that from my mom but I learn everyday more and more about writing. The 5th grade writing teacher is probably the best teacher ever. But I wouldn't recommend your children to go to this school.

Milestones Charter School is full of fun loving, smart, caring teachers and staff. The expectations of students has been raised in the past few years and I am seeing changes for the better! The upper grades have challenged my child, who is very bright. We would rather see her challenged than bored. I would recommend Milestones to any parent. From preschool through eighth grade, this school is fantastic!

At Milestones Charter School, the staff knows each student for who they are and hold them to what they can accomplish. They are extraordinarily tolerant to all children and will raise / lower the bar for each and go out of the ordinary to give extra work or explanations. Those who do not understand their lesson the teachers will patiently go over different tactics with them until they get it. All the students speak to each other and there aren't any groups unfriendly to one another despite class sizes of about 25. Students are recognized for their personal abilities and talents. There are many programs to fit student interest and preferences with great activities and sports teams called Milestone Mustangs. Teachers are fair and on a personal authority level with students and will go to all means necessary so that both student and teacher are comfortable. I would recommend this school to anyone, it is very diverse and long lasting friendships are constantly building up on the campus. With teachers whom support their students and encourage them to be role models in character, this school is a best fit for those who are a bright young individual of America's impending future.

I attended this school for about three years and it was horrible! There were absolutely no standards and I was always doing someone else's work on top of mine. There is no one paying much attention there because I was a victim of bulling (verbally and physically) and when I told the teacher in my last year he told me to work it out with the child and nothing was done. When I slipped up once by standing up for my little sister (the kid was a teachers kid) I got in trouble. I never even touched the child who was verbally bulling my sister. I didn't say anything at all. I just followed him around silently for two days. Other than social issues, the acedemic program was below my level and I could skip a project and nothing would be done! I was recently looking through work projects and almost nothing was done and completed. The only time I got in trouble was when I was standing up for my little sister. Over all, PARENTS PLEASE DO YOUR CHILDREN A FAVOR AND DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS SCHOOL! IT WILL CHANGE THEM SO MUCH TO BE BULLIED EVERYDAY AND I SPEAK FOR EXPERIENCE! Thanks for taking the time to read! I hope I might have changed you mind about enrolling your child in this school.

For the woman whose son is going to a new school after three years at Milestones, you and I have very different memories of what happened in the parking lot. Calmly telling someone that turning into oncoming traffic would be unsafe is not threatening. Honking your horn excessively is harassment. The cultural arts fee is not just or field trips. These funds are also used to bring plays, musical performances, and other educationally appropriate venues to the school. There have been at least ten of these assemblies during the current school year. Milestones sponsors countless after school clubs and activities for girls AND boys; science club, math club, art club, yoga, basketball, and many others. Information about these activities is sent home all the time. We get at least one or two notices each week in our child s Friday Folder. This information is also posted on the wall in the main office. My daughter has attended Milestones for 7 years. She has received an exemplary education. I do, occasionally, work in the office. There are other members of the faculty and staff with children who attend Milestones. These students, if anything, are held to a higher standard of discipline.
