Many parents have pulled their kids out of this school for bullies and of their teachers. This is horrible especially for the teachers! What is the principal doing ? How many more kids will be removed before YOU make a change to your school?!?

We have been attending this school for going on 5 years - we live within the boundaries and are so happy with the educational experiences that our children have had and the community of families, peers and teachers supporting them.

This is not only a school, but a whole community. The new principle has been such a joy to see in action over the last year. The teachers are all phenomenal, and the school based events and activity are engaging for all ages. We love Mercury Mine!

Mercury Mine is such a special, unique school. Our girls have attended since kindergarten and I could not imagine being at a different school. The teachers care deeply and are all very invested in the kids. The principal goes above and beyond for the school, including for the teachers and admin staff. She is eager, kind, thoughtful and incredibly inclusive. The location of the school cannot be beat, with likely one of the most beautiful backdrops in Arizona. It is a very active school within the community, hosts multiple events a year to foster relationships and is overall just an amazing school. Can not recommend it enough!

I have had both of my children at Mercury Mine Elementary School for over seven years now and I would highly recommend it to any family seeking a great education with a knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Mercury Mine has a great feeling of Community and really prides itself on creating a family atmosphere with all of its activities. The parent teacher group Mercury Mine puts on amazing events like the holiday marketplace, spring fling, family, bingo night, and Family dances. These events are always free to attend and so much fun for the students and the community. Recently, Mercury Mine got a new Principal and she is wonderful and very invested in the long-term success of the school. I also love the location of the school tucked back in a safe neighborhood with low traffic surrounding the school.

The school puts on excellent festivals on special Saturdays. They are well attended and fun. The teacher that I got to know set up Mystery Reader days. What an educational treat to come to class and read to the students. The students enjoyed learning and asked many questions. Classrooms were always decorated so educational and artistically interesting. Clearly a school that loves to teach and enjoys their students.

Mercury Mine is a gem of a neighborhood school! We are delighted with the new principal and the future plans she has for this year and beyond. We've had fantastic teachers throughout our time at the school. The feeling of community is so strong with so many events throughout the year for the kids to participate in that have gone above beyond our expectations. We truly adore this school!

We have had the best experience with Mercury Mine, and are SO excited about Mrs. Taueki being the principal for the upcoming school year!! She has already demonstrated that she hears us as parents, and wants to be involved in the school in a positive way. I have a child currently attending, going into second grade, and a younger child that will be attending in two years. Highly recommend for a great education.

This is an amazing school, I can’t recommend it enough! It’s a nationally A-Rated School for a reason - great teachers, caring staff, and an awesome community of families. Can’t beat this place!

Mercury Mine has a community like no other school that I have seen. The Parent Teacher Group is outstanding and plans so many fun events for kids and families. They even has a school mascot who is a prospector named Pete! The teachers and administration really care and whenever there is something I need to know about, I am notified as soon as possible. Kids are learning at this school and having the best elementary school experience.

This school used to be a great place, but unfortunately, it is going downhill. The principal is checked out and is unable to be an effective administrator. The facilities are run down and the community feel of the school is gone. Bullying and racial insensitivity is tolerated. There are a few remaining teachers who actually care about a student's success and demonstrate it by actively plugging in with kids to help. Parents are pulled into the team only when there are bad things to report and not when students are doing well. Overall, it has become a very negative experience for students. The only saving grace after 3rd grade is the gifted/honors program...it is amazing. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this school the overall culture shifts.

This class all in all is the best Elementary anyone would recommend. Mercury Mine's staff and principal were all amazing people. Staff is extremely effective and you will remember all they teach. They are very respectful and very nice and know what they are doing. Bullying levels are little to none. 5 stars for sure. I 1000000% recommend going to this school.

I was a guest presenter in the 3rd grade classes. I thought the teachers were remarkable; kind, patient, welcoming to the kids. Helped with those on Virtual Links. Did not show favoritism to anyone, really exhibited excitement of their projects they were doing. I would go back in a heart beat. They also made time for me to come, after school (on line) and practice the platform I was going to use.

My son was getting ready to start kindergarten when we moved to this part of town and I was being pulled in all directions with people telling me to go charter or outside of neighborhood boundaries. I ignored all of that and went ahead enrolling him at Mercury Mine which was the public school for our address. He is now in 4th grade and I have nothing but positive things to say about MMES. Every teacher has been spectacular. All have different personalities and teaching styles, which I love and feel will prepare him exceptionally well as he moves forward in his academic path and beyond. The administrators and support staff are kind, hardworking, and well-qualified. There's an amazing sense of community with the families and staff at the school. My son was struggling academically when he began, but with the gentle and persistent guidance of his teachers he is now an honor roll student. Better than that, he loves the process of learning, which is even better than any grade he receives. I credit this to the wonderful faculty and the many opportunities he has been given at Mercury Mine. I highly recommend this school!!
