My son received great support from the school in everything I need for college and scholarship applications. Students get a lot on 1 on 1 time with teachers. The courseload can be stressful, but good time management goes a long way. This school develops strong character in its students, like integrity, compassion and respect.

This school offers a smooth transition from high school to post-secondary education. Great academics, many sports and clubs to join. Great block period schedule with enrichments each day. MHP prepared me for the rigor of college classes and despite its difficulty, while I was there, I have benefitted from the high expectations that I had as a student.

Madison Highland Prep is a school that cares about the student, their safety and well-being, as well as their academics. This school has created a safe and comfortable environment for its students. I speak from experience as I am a student at Madison Highland Prep and coming from a small school it was a better transition than any other bigger high school, I felt comfortable and safe which helped me focus on my studies and work. But even if I ever had any trouble towards my students I am fully confident saying the teachers and staff would take time out of their own day to help me with it. This school sets up meetings for all grades so that they are all able to get on the right track for college and find out what they want to do in life. This helped me a lot because I was not sure what I wanted to do and it was an overwhelming process and made it so much easier than taking it all in at once. Madison Highland Prep has a spirit like no other and any sport brings everyone out like students, families, parents, and staff who make it out to the games to cheer and support the players and the school. The school also has an awesome way of showing their school spirit withholding barbeques, that bring all the students and staff together.

My experience at Madison Highland Prep has been amazing, my transition from a small school to Madison Highland Prep has been very easy and comfortable. The experience this school gives is like no other, they care a lot about the student as a person such as their well-being and academics. Madison Highland Prep has helped me figure out what i would like to do in my life, they have these meetings starting when your a freshman that start to build your interest for college and what you would like to do in life. For me personally, I didnt know but then with the help of these meetings, my own resarch and help from my teachers/staff I have figure out what I would like to major in. This has helped alot with the pressure of college, they had me plan it out so it was easier for me to focus on deciding and it wasn't an overwhelming proccess for me at all. With Madison Highland Prep it does not just feel like school and work all the time, with only our four classes it still leaves me time to do sports and activites. Our school spirit is like no other for our football games, everyone finds a space in the stands to watch and support our team. Madison Highland Prep is a community that cares about you and your future.

Just thought I'd give a shout-out to my school Madison Highland Prep. The teachers here are amazing, they aren't just about giving us tons of homework, they really care about us understanding the stuff. Our Math teacher can seriously make even complex algebra feel like a breeze. Oh, and if you're into clubs and stuff, there's a bunch of options. Robotics, Chess, Star Wars Club, you name it! This community is awesome, and everyone is friendly and caring.

I have been a teacher at Madison Highland Prep (MHP) for three years, and I can say I have found a perfect place to teach. As a teacher, it is very important to have an administration that supports teachers, and MHP is the place where you can assure you have that support. Based on my experience, when students are not following direction, it is very frustrating for any teacher. At MHP, when students are not behaving properly, administration makes sure to correct that behavior to become good students. MHP also offers many clubs so students can engage in extra school activities. As a parent, I would definitely put my children at MHP because MHP really helps student to be ready for college by having high expectation by holding every students accountable for their actions. Overall, MHP is an excellent college preparatory high school.

Multiple classes were allowed to fail because the teacher was unable to cover all of the material needed to pass. They will refuse you a Chromebook unless you pay them a $75 fee yet harass you to get one. The Chromebooks they hand out are hardly functional and the school Wi-Fi is even worse. There isn’t even the slightest bit of effort put into helping students with disabilities. You are forced to serve after-school detention of 1 hour for failing to complete a single homework assignment, which there is an abundance of. If you don’t attend, you are shoved in a random place in the office for the entire school day. After school detention is handed out like candy to students undeserving of it. There have been multiple instances where a student does something small like forget to throw something away after lunch and is forced to serve detention. If you are late to school for any reason, you will be forced to attend lunch detention. Rather than trying to fix the problem, the principal and vice principal berate you for 10 minutes straight and god forbid you attempt to defend yourself or you'll be threatened with suspension. If you are absent for more than 4 days for any reason other than being sick, you automatically fail your classes. Lunch Is supposed to be 30 minutes long, but is always cut short by 6 minutes because students are expected to go to class instead of finish eating. They are more focused on receiving a stem certification than they are actually teaching stem effectively. The teachers are rude and have no problem acting and speaking disrespectfully towards students and other teachers. The few teachers who notice any issues are forced into silence. That's not even the bulk of the problems I've noticed during my time at Madison Highland Prep and the only positive I've seen is that students who are placed with good teachers seem to excel in that subject. The Madison district is not all it's cut out to be. I strongly recommend you turn your attention to another school.

I had the opportunity to work with Madison Highland Prep while I was teaching and it was an incredible experience. The faculty and staff were terrific, and it was always clear that the school's top priority was to ensure that every student had the best possible learning experience. The school had a great curriculum and the teachers were very passionate about their subjects. The school also held a wide variety of extracurricular activities both within the school and community, which the students thoroughly enjoyed. I am extremely grateful to have worked at Madison Highland Prep and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to work or study.

Horrible environment of teachers due to mistreatment by upper management. Teachers are overworked and underpaid and not appreciated at all. Lots of staff resign during the school year as people don't want to be bullied by management at work. No planning or prep time but all grading must be done on your own time in the evenings and weekends.

I was harassed and denied an education. I couldn't afford a computer so they let me fail spanish, which set me back further when i transferred and kept the same grade.

MHP has been a great school for my daughter. She just completed her freshman year. The transition from middle school to high school was nerve-racking however MHP put my mind and my daughter's at ease by being available anytime we had questions. The teachers were always there ready and willing to provide my daughter with help. If I called or went into the office the staff was kind and pleasant. My daughter told me, all the time, that she always saw the administration in classrooms and around campus. That told me that they cared and were not the type to just sit behind a desk in an office. They are definitely engaged with their students. Highly recommend this school!

Great school with lots of labs and engineering projects, plenty of sports and after school clubs as well. Not only is the program academically challenging, but you can tell that teachers really care about helping their students succeed.
