The special needs program and teachers absolutely failed my child. It was a very poor program, the teacher made Facebook posts about my low functioning autistic child while doing absolutely nothing to help him. The principal Robyn screamed at me once in front of my child because it took me an hour to drive from Milwaukee to pewaukee to pick him up from school sick. I was a single mother in school- I made it there as fast as I could and she screamed at me in the Parking lot in front of my child and everyone else. It was embarrassing, tacky, classless, and I pulled my kid out of that school soon after. My son went from being scared to go to school to happy and thriving where he is now.

Robin (principal) still sticks in my mind as one of the absolute worst individuals working with children in an elementary school that I have encountered, nearly a decade after my child attended. Her disgusting behavior and degrading treatment of my child and I still are fresh in my mind. Also, one of the special education teachers made a lengthy Facebook post about my special needs child when he attended there. Just avoid this school at all costs.

Fantastic communication between parents and staff. High quality dedicated teachers that always seem to go beyond what is expected. Administration seems supportive of teachers and are responsive to parent inquiries/requests. Nice campus setting if you have multiple children. Newly remodeled buildings, bright and cheerful.

Pewaukee has high ratings and people say what a great school district it is but I am not impressed.

Ok, I guess. We wish we had the money to go private. The Elementary Principal is very by the book and not enough heart. I hope WI passes the Twin Law in support of the parents. Illinois passed it but parents recommendations are only taken into consideration. My hope is that the parents have the final say if the kids aren't disruptive, mean to each other, no disciplinary, and truly want to be together. Take each multiple family on a case by case basis because we are all unique.

Amazing staff from start to finish. If you ever have a problem or concern, you can be assured that it will be addressed. My children love/loved PLE.

After researching several high-quality area districts, we chose to move to Pewaukee to access better services for our special needs son. We are extremely happy with what we've encountered at PLE! Responsive, flexible, and dedicated staff focused on what's best for each child. Progressive efforts to iterate and improve what's being provided for all kids ... you can't ask for much more than what's being done in this excellent district.

Pewaukee Lake Elementary has a large number of students. For example, 8 classes with 26 kids in a class. The school district is in favor of Common Core - so good luck!
