Terrible school. They don’t do anything about bullying. Teaching young kids bad things and stuff they wont understand. Teachers put me down when I went there too.

I'm a high schooler who went to Corona Creek as did my younger brother. I am very engaged with the k-6 youth through coaching youth sports and have gotten to know many current Waugh School District students over the years. I can say that I do not see any negative differences between the kids from Corona and any other school. I do notice that Corona students seem to cause less disruptions than others. I am constantly talking to them about my former teachers and how they are right now. From my experience and theirs, I can say that there is a fair and I'd say a good range of teachers. There are strict teachers and fun teachers, but all of them all qualified and have a similar baseline of classroom norms and rules. Each class has its own uniqueness with teachers bringing personalized structure that makes the class feel different than the class before. Teachers did a great job teaching the required curriculum in engaging ways.

MY CHILD WAS BULLIED AND THE SCHOOL DID NOTHING TO HELP. SHE WAS HOSPITALIZED DUE TO HIGH STRESS BECAUSE THE SCHOOL DID NOTHING ABOUT THE BULLING. HAVING JUST A FEW GOOD TEACHERS MEANS NOTHING WHEN BOARDER WONT DO ANTHING TO SUPPORT CHILDREN WHO ARE BULLIED OR WITH IEP'S. MY SON HAD AN IEP, GOT MOVED TO ANOTHER SCHOOL BECAUSE CORONA "DIDNT HAVE THE QUALIFED SUPPORT" FOR HIM; EVERYTHING WAS GOOD, THE MOVE WAS GOOD BUT WHEN I TRIED TO KEEP HIM ENROLLED SO THAT MY SON COULD KEEP GETTING THE SUPPORT HE NEEDED, MIKE GARNER DECIDED THE SCHOOL NO LONGER WANTED TO DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE---SIMPLY WASHED THEIR HANDS AND BRUSH THE PROBLEM UNDER THE CARPET JUST LIKE HE DID WITH MY DAUGHTER. I WAS VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE SCHOOL BECAUSE I WANTED NOTHING BUT THE BEST FOR MY CHILDREN, BUT HAVING HIGH SCORES MEANS NOTHING WHEN SOCIALLY EMOTIONALLY THE SCHOOL DOESNT CARE ABOUT ISSUES LIKE BULLYING, DEPRESSION, IEP'S OR FAMILIES WHO ARE STURGGLING TO TAKE THEIR KIDS TO SCHOOL.

This school has been the best decision we have ever made regarding our neurodivergent son. The teachers are warm, knowledgeable, accommodating, and of the highest caliber. I plan to have all of my children attend this school and many of my friends are attempting interdistrict transfers for 2023/2024 because they believe Corona Creek to be a better fit for their children. Couldn’t be more happy or give any higher rating 10/10!

Most teachers only teach to the high kids. There are many complaints that "lower" kids are often bullied and publicly shamed by teachers. My son's friend frequently came home emotional about how he was talked to in his class. Administration is unresponsive.

Terrible administration. Terrible teachers. Especially the upper grades. I would not recommend. Principal has no backbone.

This is our second year at Corona Creek, and we continue to be impressed by this school's administration and teachers! The principal at this school is really what "sold" us to enroll here and we credit a lot of our positive experience of public education to him. It's not easy to be both the school's principal and the district's superintendent AND operate a school/district during a pandemic, but Mr. Gardner has done a phenomenal job managing every facet - from external communication to parents to providing support to teachers. The staff, like Mrs. VanderVennett, Mrs. Barlow, Lorie, Tami and everyone in the office and out in the playground or guarding the crosswalks all truly care for the students. They are caring, respectful and I can say with confidence that their bottom line is the well-being of ALL children at the school. If you are like us a couple of years ago trying to figure out which school to send your kid to, give Corona Creek a visit, talk to their staff, safely observe the children (they are always laughing, minding their matters and having the best school spirit -- all a reflection of how much they are having fun and learning at this school.

The administration is awful. Especially the new principal. So weak. We had good teachers for the most part but I am SO glad we are no longer with this district!!!

We had three kids go through Corona Creek elementary school. They all had a wonderful experience with all their teachers. The principal had high expectations of the students. That was good because they thrived at the elementary, Jr high and high school levels which allowed them their acceptance at UCs. So happy with Corona Creek stressing the importance of education at that age. It does make a difference.

Corona Creek is a great school. The teachers are all engaged in every student’s learning. My kids have had great teachers at every grade. The child to teacher ratios are amazing. I do wish they had Spanish or another language but other than that, it’s like a private school without the tuition.

We love Corona Creek! Our Principal is amazing and has instilled a great sense of community with families. My kids are very happy here.

The upper leadership in this school has changed frequently. If you have a child with any special learning needs or differences, do not expect that they will support your requests or honor any of your opinions on what is best for your child. They are inflexible, without concern for parents and demanding of parent participation.

10+ years at CC. Many changes in Leadership. With the exception of a couple of years it’s been a great school. The community rallies to fund raise and provide funds for Art and Music. Teacher and Parent involvement make this a great school. Shocked to see a 7 out of 10 of Great Schools. For a public elementary school I’d give this school a 10 out 10.

My son has had a great experience with CCE! He is going into 5th grade this year and I have loved every teacher he has had so far.

When we initially started at CC we were so happy with it. The principal at the time was great, very approachable and seemed to genuinely care about the kids. He had a presence throughout the school. This new principal is the complete opposite. She is unapproachable, does not return emails, we hardly ever see her around campus and if we do she has no idea who I am or what my kids names are. However, this is not all her fault. She and any principal hired at corona is being set up for an impossible task of acting as a superintendent and principal. These need to be two different positions in my opinion. Her focus seems to be keeping the teachers happy at the cost of us parents. I don’t feel we have any say in our child’s education and when we try we are met with disregard. It saddens me to be looking for other schools, my daughter has been there for 4 years and we have built such amazing relationships with families and teachers, but I cannot stand the administration any longer.

I love Corona Creek as do my children. We have been here for 4 years and our daughter will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. The teachers are wonderful and communicative but most importantly really care. We have massive amounts of parental and community involvement which you feel every time you step onto campus. As to the two 1 star reviews everyone should be happy to know that the previous principal who was so troublesome has left the district and I have yet to hear a complaint about our new principal and have heard her commend our parents and volunteers while out in public away from school activities.

This school has a phenomenal group of teachers. Each one of them love their students and are wonderful. I'm giving this school a one star because unless the school board does something to get our current Superintendent/Principal out of there, he alone will sink our once thriving district. The kids do not like him, the parents do not like him and the teachers are miserable! Our school board needs to listen up, look at the survey and do the right thing!

The principle lacks any ability to perform any aspect of his job, does not respect the staff and does not act in a professional manner.

Corona Creek is an excellent school. We recently moved here from out of state and feel so lucky that this is our new school. The teachers and parents are very involved. Teachers are very easy to approach and get in touch with when there are concerns. We love it here!

Corona Creek is a terrific elementary school. The new principal is well-liked to teachers and students, and very experienced. The teachers are engaged and hard-working. The parents are very involved. The parents actively volunteered and were very involved in each classroom. And the kids are generally great, or working hard at being great. This school is truly a community effort, and the community seems to recognize it's got a good thing going. A very strong school academically, and sought-after by many. Great learning atmosphere. Parents of students here generally push hard, so it can be a competitive environment. Principal and teachers are very accessible and caring.
