used to bee good but they implemented new rules that WERE not really NEEDED at ALL since 2023 the school is a 1 and a half star in my personal opinion. my student keeps complaining to me NONSTOP about the new Absurd rules. but for example 2021-2022 I would get it a 4-5 star rating. rules were reasonable students who could be more effective when multitasking did great! BUT NOW THEY SEEM TO ONLY LET MY STUDENT DO 1 THING AT ONCE! and the new device polocy SUCK I would like to be able to track my students location when there are at school and the new rules make this VERY hard! also the school has suddenly became WAY WAY too stricken . I almost want to switch my students school because of this!!! THANKS these new rules are so oOoOO helpfully.

This school has two goals football and passing the state test. If that is what you want from a school the this is the place. Otherwise it is a total waste of 4 years.

Petal high school is a great school overall. But there are teachers that do not need to be teaching, example teachers that are coaches.. This school is very focused to sports, football in particular, the school has cut back on the funding for to arts, the football players don't pay much, everything is provided for them, other extracurricular activities such as show choir have to pay 1200 dollars a year to be in it and has to do several fundraisers, this is because the school does not care about the arts. Some of the teachers are rude, and the dress code is ridiculous. It is too strict and it is all the principal cares about other then being top school.

Do not have a problem with the education of the school, this school is the reason we moved here. but If your child is not in the right click they are bullied and targeted. The school cares more about the dress code then stopping the bullies! I have loved most of the teachers, however the principal is another issue!
