Great elementary school in the city, the teachers and the principal are very talented and communicative. They take a lot of care on each student and always be in constant touch with the parents.

I have two students at Fort Meigs (son and daughter). This year we have a new principal - Mr. Cooper - who is FANTASTIC. He is fun and very personable. His transition was seamless. He sends out a weekly flyer and makes sure parents know what is going on in all facets. My daughter participates in the gifted program called Excel (eligible in 3rd grade) in both math and ELA. Mrs. Martz this year in 4th grade is her primary teacher for both of these subjects. I am THRILLED with this program. Many schools do not service gifted students more than once a week - and don't have a dedicated teacher for those subjects. My son had a bullying issue on the bus which I reported immediately to the school. It was handled that SAME DAY without hesitation. I could not be more pleased. The music, art, and PE programs are all strong. Recorders in 3rd grade and lovely winter music performances. Talent show and school carnival in the spring bring the families together. I highly recommend.

We have been at this school for two years now and it is excellent. The facilities are nice, there are plenty of activities for students to participate in, but most importantly, the teachers and staff are fantastic. In my opinion, it is the star of the Perrysburg elementary school system. The school does an excellent job of communicating with parents and students, and the difference in my child's aptitude for and interest in learning has been remarkable since she began attending. It is a fairly homogenous school population, though, in all ways. That is the only downfall I can think of for Ft. Meigs.
