I am going, to be honest, I did not have the best experience at WF. It never felt like a happy place to be. I have never been excited to go to school. I always dread going to school. It almost feels as if it is a jail especially with the new gate it just looks even more like one. It is a jail you go to for almost 7 hours a day and then you are released, and you feel free and happy again. That is probably what every high schooler says right? I have asked my fellow classmates both above me and below me and they all agreed with me. We "hate" West Florida. It has no life, fun, or school spirit. It is all structured, and bland. I'm not sure about how others may feel about school, but I believe it is supposed to be a fun and exciting place to be. One that you can't wait to go back to and be a teenager. That is just not the feeling I get being at West Florida High School of Advanced Technology. - I am writing this because most of the views are from an adults point of view well here is one from a students point of view.

Great Honors/AP/Dual enrollment programs, tons of clubs to be apart of, and plenty of sports to choose from. Safe environment, very happy

My daughter is very involved in her high school and has always felt safe and accepted. It seems as though the kids here care less about the typical high schooler ideals and more about excelling in their academia/activities. With my daughter being somewhat 'nerdy', this is a great relief. The honors classes are challenging enough and after school activities are plentiful. She also is on the Lacrosse team, which has been a blessing, given the coaching staff and program actually being there (Not all high schools have it and they welcomed girls with no previous experience.) All in all, I feel as though it is a great school.

My Daughter has been at WFH for a year and just started her second year. I have not been disappointed. I feel confident she is recieving and outstanding education! She speaks very highly of her teachers and remains very involved with an array of extra curricular activities. I don't hear from teachers as much, but they are very approachable.

I have to say that the teachers make this the best school in the area. My engineering teacher is the best and helps the students out with anything. WFHE is like family.
