The director of the preschool Lorna was very unprofessional. My two-year-old son was having a tough first day of school. I asked for advice on how to handle the situation and I was met with very unprofessional and snarky comments. I called and spoke with the head of the school and they did not seem concerned. There was nothing they could do to accommodate my son and make him feel comfortable on his first and second day of school. I would not recommend the school to anyone during the current coronavirus crisis. You cannot meet the teacher. You cannot take your child to see the classroom. You have to drop them off in the front door and leave. If they are having separation issues the school has zero strategies or accommodations that they can make to help your child feel comfortable on their first day of school.I called and spoke with Matthew Graft the person in charge of the school. He said they did not have the resources to make accommodations for my son. I explained to him that my son would be okay if someone could make him feel comfortable or spend some extra time with him. They should allow parents to meet the teacher. They should also have resources available To help children feel comfortable on their first day of school especially during the coronavirus. They did not even give my child a chance. He is two years old and very well behaved at home. Both his parents are teachers and have certifications and teaching special needs. I was very shocked at the lack of resources. They could not handle a two-year-old sweet child on his first day of school. As a father that does everything I am beyond disgusted, heartbroken and upset. I spoke with the Head of the school Matthew and he had all the right political things to say to cover himself and the school. Please excuse my grammar I’m not the best with Writing. I’m very upset right now at writing this in anger because I know people and I was treated very unprofessionally. My review is from the heart and this father feels very low right now. As a Christian school they should have more empathy and treat others the way that they would want to be treated.

Look every school has issues, but for what I pay for my boys to attend this school I should have better things to say. When the principle sends out a request on the weekly newsletter requesting parents to go on-line and leave "good" reviews on the FB page and other school review sites you know there are issues. Great schools do not need to ask parents to write fake reviews so they you aren't seen as the parent who did not comply with their request. There are some great teachers here who are grossly underpaid so they teach simply for the love of the kids which is awesome But there are only like 5 of them and if they leave, MP better close it's doors.

The worst experience I have ever had with a daycare center. We believe in God and dealing with deployment we needed the Christian structure, especially when he ended up coming back in a coffin. My child needed the teachings of God, but they could not handle taking care of the situation. Instead of taking care of the actual situation they got rid of another child's chew toy. They hurt my child and our faith in their church. The way she talks about kids this young, will change your mind alone on taking your kids there.

My daughter has been attending Marcus Pointe Christian School (MPCS)since she was 2 years old. Having a late birthday has had its share of ups & down with class placement at daycares and preschools so we decided to step out on faith to see what other schools were available to us. We were looking for a school that not only would offer more academic growth than the regular preschool class, but also maximize her potential. If you are looking for a strong academic and biblical-based education then this is the school for you. MPCS is all about elevating our children along this academic journey and keeping God first along the way.

My daughter switched to Marcus Point her second grade year. I love the school. The teachers are great. The curriculum is tough. Warning, if your child switches from Public to Private it will be a big change. It's fast paced and often by the end of the school term they are a grade and a half level up from the public school. The teachers are great and knowledgeable. Their beliefs are aligned with my own. They do not pressure you to join their church either. The only thing I have discovered I do not like about the school is they do not have a student counselor on site. My daughter was really struggling in school add getting worse and worse and finally I had enough and wanted to see if she could be tested. No one I spoke to at the school could provide assistance. It was very frustrating.

Preschool Pro's - Some great, tenured teachers who are a blessing to the kids. The Director is good and will listen and take action when needed. Facilities are clean and security is good. Preschool Cons/Suggestions - Newer teachers need more training with the tenured teachers to really deliver a consistent level of service to the parents and kids. No Part-time scheduled offered. Full-time only which can be pricey. More communication to the parents would be great. There is no such thing as over communicating. They do not utilize their Facebook or website enough. More cameras especially in the preschool rooms will be nice. However with this being a private program/school the funds would have to be raised to accomplish that.

They have great security for the children. Although it's inconvenient for parents, it's good for their protection. Academics are good, but there are several teachers who lack patience with young children. There are administrators who are unfriendly and unwilling to accomodate parents. My child has been bullied for several months there, and although the teacher has tried to intervene, it has continued. My meetings with the principal were completely unproductive, and resulted in the principal telling me that much of this is "normal". It is not normal for small children to threaten the life of another child's loved one!! My child who loved school last year, now cries almost every day and feels as if no one likes them. My children are learning well, however the Spiritual focus is minimal and there is very little parent involvement allowed in the Kindergarten, and little to no communication with teachers unless you persist and demand it. I've requested meetings with no reply, and the school office has neglected to comply when I had to pick up my children for Dr apointments. My experience directly with the teachers has been good, but sadly I am not impressed with the school as a whole.

Marcus Pointe Christian Preschool has been a fantastic environment for my two special needs children. The teachers have gone out of their way to help my kids and have made an effort to implement the techniques recommended by the kids' therapists. Also, My two year old came home spouting phonics one day! I cannot say enough good things about Mrs. Sarah, the director. She loves those kids like her own and takes each child's well-being personally. I would recommend Marcus Pointe Christian Preschool without hesitation.
